Now that fall is approaching.....
What activities are you going to get your kids involved in? My DD will be starting kindergarten in the fall. I want to get her involved in something over the weekend. I am going to wait another year for dance. I am thinking of Safety Swim. Looking for other ideas.

Re: Now that fall is approaching.....
Andrea, she is going to be so cute as a little ballerina. I tried Music together last year with Em. The woman told me the class had 3-5 year olds but they were much younger and she didn't like it. She loves music and dancing but don't think she's ready quite yet. She loves swimming so to keep her busy I may try safety swim....but I would like to get her involved in something not solitary.....whatever happened to brownies, girl scouts?

Em will continue at Boces CRC. I don't think they have Daisys or anything like that there. Andrea, thanks for info on safety swim. I actually called the one in bell more today.

Re: Now that fall is approaching.....
I'm throwing around a lot of potentials... DD has been in swimming for several years and it's the one thing she's advanced in so we're definitely continuing that. Possibilities include horseback riding with My Shine, dance again, some sort of martial arts (if I can find a reasonably priced one) and social skills classes. Her legs haven't improved even with all the p/t and we need to kick the physical stuff into high gear.

DS is already in swimming, but, I'm hoping to find a soccer league or even bowling lessons for him. He LOVES bowling (with bumpers, lol).

We got to Bellmore Safe-t-swim and have had a good experience. It all depends on the instructor, IMO. I have seen an older boy who was severely impaired and his instructor was great with him.
We've been throwing around the idea of gymnastics again. He did it one winter and loved it, but we had to stay with him to keep him focused and it was just too much.

We did the Miracle League, and it was fun. A little slow moving for my son though. He didn't have the patience to wait for his turn, and ended up being extremely bored with it. There were a lot of kids on his team though. I think they have spread it out a little more now.
