That Dad is so stupid. People who only follow the crowd in a criminal situation shouldn't be considered "guilty"????

I wo'nt watch the video. I know I would find it very disturbing.

As a parent, I can tell you how important it is to get involved with this as early as possible. In pre-k, I was told my daughter was involved in bullying another kid. I thought it was a small issue- like coloring on someone else's paper. So what I did is bought her an ice cream, sat with her, and spoke with her about bullying and how it is important to be kind and nice to everyone. I used examples from her own life on how she felt when kids did things like that to her. Because it was not hostile, she was very engaged and receptive.

The next morning I met with the head teacher and DD who was there during the incident. I found out my DD was not the ringleader (which I originally thought), but her BFF (E) was and they were bullying a kid with two moms about not having a dad. I was appalled! PRE-K!!!???!!! With the teacher, I explained to DD that (1) you never make fun of people's family and (2) if someone is teasing your friend, not only do you not join in but you also stand up for your friend.

I didn't get mad. I kept my cool. I just told her it was unacceptable behavior from then on.

I also stopped letting her play with E. I called the principal of the kindergarten and made sure that E was separated from DD. Everytime DD wanted a playdate with E I asked DD, is she nice to everyone all the time? Its been a year and the answer has never been yes- so she has not been allowed to have a playdate with E. E is now moving- so that problem is solved.

I am proud of how vigilant I was when this started young. The other day, a mom came up to me at a party and told me that DD was so kind to another child who didn't know anyone and went up to the other child and introduced herself and included her in all the games.


If anyone every accused my kid of being mean, I would turn around and have a big issue, with MY KID!! That behavior is unacceptable and I know I taught her that at a young age. I hope it continues as she grows up. But the second she steps out of line and stops being kind- especially to elders, my DD will need to get a reeducation of what is acceptable behavior in MY home- and being unkind is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Unfortunately, these kids' behaviors are common where I work. Many children choose not to take the school bus for this reason. They will take the city bus instead. I also get from their parents that they are "just kids being kids" If you try to explain to the parents that this is not normal behavior they just look at you like you don't know anything, because you didn't grow up where they grew up.

All i can say is how disgusted I am, I can not even bring myself to watch this

I do think its the parents who are not teaching their kids and who are probably doing the same thing, cause thats where the kids are learning this behavior from.
I am sure the parents will say "NOT my Kid"
even with video evidence.

I am glad donors have raised almost 650K for this woman, she is 68 and deserves to retire and enjoy her life, and not be tormented anymore.

I read that one of the abusers told her she is so ugly her kid should kill themselves...and apparently her son took his own life 10 years ago....how cruel.

I only watched a minute. It made me too sick. I hope the consequences for these heartless children is severe.
