they should be more than suspended for that outrageous behavior. there should be criminal charges, and they should be left back. truly disgusting. i give that woman props for showing such amazing restraint.
probably. I could not watch it. I know it will bother me immensely so it's probably even worse than I imagine.

I work security in a MS...does not surprise me...that age group is full of kids that really just need a kick in the a$$ with their smart comments and lack of repect...when they are with their friends they think they are tough...get them alone and they are different kids. It's the age where they are testing boundaries too...HS kids are actually easier because they get the idea of consequences of their actions. Would love my VP to get to discipline them..he's no nonsence!....poor woman

I couldn't watch the whole thing either and had tears in my eyes...the poor woman. This is so unbelievably disgusting and I never remember hearing anything like this in all the years of school.

I hope the fund gets enough $$ so she can retire.
If I was a parent of one of those kids I would be ashamed and take immediate action. With summer coming community service seems like a great idea.

I get that a parent cannot totally control what a kid will & will not say. BUT I do think this is a case of those middle school students having no fear of the consequences of their actions. I cannot even imagine the summer of punishments I'd come up with if this were my child.

ITA with all of this. I couldn't watch the video, I know it would upset me too much. Some kids are just beyond awful. I wonder if their parents even really care, other than that they were caught and blasted all over the media. I think you have to be one of those "types" to raise children capable of such cruelty. I think the kids and possibly the parents should be forced to do some anti-bullying campaigning for youth as suggested above. That is a perfect idea. I think their video should be shown at the beginning of each lecture.

The names of the four kids involved were posted in the description of the video online. Which I'm not sure I agree with. I mean what these kids did was HORRIBLE & they should be punished... but I heard they are getting death threats and people are showing up at their homes to "beat them up". As someone who was a Victim of bullying in middle school, I'm not sure a 13 year old CHILD fully understands how hurtful their words really are.

I agree with this. As a parent, I'd be concerned for my kids' safety but I would be clear that it's due to their own actions. There is always someone bigger to bully a bully.

what asshole kids...they need to be expelled and now their parents will have to home school them.
Apparently they can not be in the company of other people so keep them locked up like the animals they are.
OMG...my mother would have KILLED me...and i mean that literally, if I ever did that or anything close to it!

I agree that the death threats & such are too far. But 13 year olds of today are a hell of a lot different then when we were 13.
One kid told her, her kids might as well Kill themselves because she was so ugly - from what I heard she did have a child who comitted suicide.
Who fuuuckkiiinng says that?!?!?!?!? That punk knew what he was saying.

This is awful. Kids have no respect for authority anymore. I hope they don't become sociopaths when they get older but become normal human beings (I realize the odds of this happening are slim to none)..But I hope this so that they can feel like sh!t about this forever..I'm glad its taped because now everyone in that small little town will remember it forever.
And the worst part is that this woman is probably not even allowed to defend herself by making fun of them back.

Not that I am excusing their behavior, but bus monitors are in buses for kids with special needs. These kids are probably emotionally disturbed. I work with kids like these, and they say really messed up things for a reaction.

I am at a loss for words for how horrible that was. i have some questions: Why didn't the driver stop the bus and say anything? Why would they really think their peers would want to see kids basically abusing what could be there own grandmother. UGH!
It is the bus driver's job to deliver kids home safely. Despite the horrible things they were doing and the emotional torment they inflicted on that poor woman, no one was physically being harmed.

ED kids need immediate consequences for bad behavior, just like any other child, if not more.

That rowdiness was cause to stop the bus. I had a bus driver do that and call for assistance at the school because of kids acting in that manner, defiant and assholish.

Obvious these children have never had discipline before. Parents are to blame as well, how you raise children like that, well I have n idea. Those parents should attend an anti bullying seminar with their children. A summer of non stop back breaking volunteer work is needed for these degenerates!

I agree.
But as someone who works with ED kids, there usually are few consequences at home. They are this way for a reason. Nothing a school can do will effect hem. They are on a path of hopeless futures. They don't care about careers, grades, relationships, anything in the future. The are angry and sick and twisted and act in the moment. Watching this, I see and hear many students I work with in these kids. It is horrible. What is worse is that there is little that will be able to change them.
Also, On the bus, meds wear off and they can get psycho. They go home to empty homes at best. At worst, to parents who behave the very same way, on drugs and alcohol to boot.
These are the products of sick people raising more sick people. It is a truly devastating phenomenon. So little out there to change these kids. Where they need it most, they aren't getting it.
