NYC interview
I have never been interviewed for a NYC school position only in Long Island. Does NYC schools send out a rejection letter like LI schools do?? Just wondering since I had a great interview 2 Mondays ago and I have not heard a single thing. I wrote a thank you email the following day and this past Tuesday I wrote another email to follow up on the position and nothing. Just wondering???

Re: NYC interview
I work in NYC and most of them do not send rejection letters. Between last summer and this summer I went on at least 20 interviews... I got maybe 2 letters saying I didn't get the job. Maybe 3 people responded to emails saying I didn't get it. It stinks but it seems like they are still desperate to find teachers at the last minute so I would keep applying! Last year after I found my job I received a few phones calls end of Sept. and beginning of October about interviewing. Sadly I was excessed from my old school but found something the friday before school started. A few schools are still contacting me now for interviews.
Good Luck!!

Re: NYC interview
Generally not. Not all LI districts send letters, either.
