He is nothing but a useless asshole.. and is totally contradicting himself! If transportation is closing, how does he expect people to get to work? Ride the waves?? 
I say stay home! Better to be safe regardless of the crap that comes out of that useless mouth of his! As for your boss, tell her not to forget her floaties!!!
