Re: Obama supporters...I have a question?
I just wanted to echo Kara's sentiments and state that republicans to not have the market cornered on ignorance as there had been quite a bit of ignorance AND intolerance on both sides.
If I "fear" an Obama presidency, it is not because I am ignorant or buying into scare tactics but rather because I fear what the repercussions of his policies may be - as they are policies that do not conform with my political ideologies. Despite my trepidation I have hope that he will be more to the center in trying to unite a country that is already divided.
I think many of us are tired of being lumped in with radicals and of being told that our opinions are ignorant. Having a difference of opinion or not believing in Obama's policies does not make one ignorant. And I think to assume that IS ignorant.
I think we ALL need to learn to be more tolerant. We have shown that we can be culturally and racially tolerant. Now, we must be tolerant of opinions that differ from our own as that has always been the backbone of the country. We must remember that the answer does not lie in the left or the right but it in meeting in the center.

Re: Obama supporters...I have a question?
Thank you all again for the info. I just wanted to make it clear that I was not calling anyone ignorant at all. Everyone is entitled to what they believe, even if what they believe instills fear. I also didn't mean to make it sound like all McCain supporters on here were going to give me cr*p. There were so many who were intelligent and respectful throughout the entire election. It's a shame a select few had to make us all look like morons. Anyway, I was just truly wondering what people were fearing. Maybe I was missing something, I have a 6 month old and I am 9 weeks pregnant...you're all lucky I knew who was running. But you have all helped me to see that while I may not agree with his policies, the odds are he will not be some crazy socialist, terrorist, whatever. I never thought he was, but like I said, I have been on planet Neptune since I found out I was pregnant again.
