my husband's company does too...I have to watch my language when I email DH!  He gets an alert email - "Profanity Alert" telling him that he received an email with inappropriate language.
I hope this works out for your friend! This all seems so ridiculous. He should be fine!

I feel bad for your friend. whoever that was that reported him should mind their own business and not look at his screen  you can't screen email you get before opening it, give me a break.

This is exactly why none of my friends or family have my work email address.
I know of alot of companies with zero tolerance for those kind of emails.
I'm so sorry.
I was going to say the same thing.

I remember my cousin telling me a few years ago that they fired two employees for "inappropriate" emails. They were emailing explicitly back and forth to each other, and one of them was married. The real issue she says was that there were many other issues with them like not showing up to work until 10 am after out partying all night and stuff like that with multiple warnings. This company just used this as the last straw to finally get rid of them I guess.
