Re: **Official November 2011 Mommies Thread***

Woe is me post coming. I apologize in advance.

My diabetes is not going well. My fasting numbers were high so they had to put me on a pill to regulate it. I'm so disappointed in my body.

Peed myself last week. Missed two days of work because they thought it might be my amniotic fluid leaking. Luckily it wasn't.

Had pink blood when I wiped on Tuesday. No work again. Thankfully just the once. No contractions or anything.

Go tonight and they tell me I'm having contractions which I don't even feel. No more work indefinetely.

Then to top it all off they measure the baby and it is already 6 pounds. I'm looking at over a ten pounder if the baby stays put. I've gained 12 pounds but lost 9 with the diet. I'm just so disappointed that I can't do anything right. And it isn't even ME, it's just my body.

It's just one hit after another this week and I'm just done.

Chat Icon Chat Icon i know how frustrating it can be when you do everything right (and you are, don't beat yourself up), and still have problems.. atleast everything is under control and you and got checked and evaluated right away.

Just a few more weeks, hang in there. Take it a day at a time.. and I read having contractions at this stage is normal, and not feeling it is normal as well. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon its Friday, and soon you'll hit a new week and it will be better. Chat Icon

Re: **Official November 2011 Mommies Thread***

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the support.

I have been SO SUPER lucky to have had a great pregnancy up to this point. I just had a mini breakdown because of it all last night. My parents were workaholics and made me one. To hear that I can't work when I'm feeling perfectly fine was a shock. I get that it's for the best and all that jazz but I feel completely normal. Just got a belly that moves, pokes and rolls. Chat Icon

Then there is the money side of it. I'll be taking home at least $700 less a week.

I only got to work 8 weeks this entire year. Chat Icon The Doctor said it might not be a permanant disability but I'm scared to get my hopes up and have him dash them again next week. Chat Icon

I hope everyone is doing well.

I'm almost 35 weeks and had a growth sono this morning to check our baby's kidneys. The left one has corrected to a normal level and while the right has increased the tech feels it's just at the rate that the baby is growing. I'm praying so hard that the right will have reduced by my next sono in a month - if I make it that far Chat Icon. Everything else is great and our Chat Icon is already estimated to weigh 6lbs 3oz Chat Icon No wonder I feel like she had taken posession of my body this week Chat Icon

The tech said the baby grows between 1/4 and 1/2 lb a week. I'm hoping it's closer to 1/4!

Re: **Official November 2011 Mommies Thread***

35 weeks here. Feeling slightly immobile. Also, leaning over the kitchen sink is a task and a half...oi! I have also developed PUPPPS and it's miserable. They gave me a steroid cream, told me to take oatmeal baths and use Pine Tar Soap.

I'm moving out of state to Ohio in a few days, DH got a transfer in his job (poor timing but its more money and it gives me time to not have to go back to work right away) so I have switch all my doctors, which kind of stinks - however, we're moving near BIL and SIL so I will be using her OB and the hospital she was at, so it gives me a little reassurance.

It's just taking forever to pack because it's mainly DH that's doing it.

I just want it to be done and get out there before something happens.

I'm 37+ weeks. I finished work on Wednesday and am now on short term disability but I'm already going stir crazy!

I had a growth sono this morning and our Chat Icon is estimated to weigh 7lbs 7 oz!!! The tech thinks she will be around 8.5lbs if I make it to 40 weeks but she's really wedged in my pelvis and in position to go. I was a fingertip dilated on Monday and lost some of my mucus plug after a very in-depth internal Chat Icon

I feel strongly that this will be an October baby. Good luck to everyone else!

Re: **Official November 2011 Mommies Thread***

I'm 34 weeks as of yesterday. I feel great physically, aside from the standard difficulty bending down, rolling over, walking, and generally maneuvering Chat Icon. At my next appt (in 2 weeks) dr. said I will have my first internal- can NOT believe I'm that close already!! I am so so excited! We have yet to do a darn thing in the room prep department though. We are moving our 20 month old son to a "big boy" room and keeping the nursery room as is. Right now, the room that will be his room is functioning as a storage room/cat room. We need to install a cat door on our basement door, then move all our cat's stuff down to the basement. Then, we have to clear out the room, paint it, decorate, move in all the furniture, etc. So we have a LOT of work ahead of us in the very near future! Good thing I'm feeling good!!

Re: **Official November 2011 Mommies Thread***

I'm going to be 36 weeks on Monday and I'm still feeling pretty good.

We still have to:
Install the car seat and have it inspected
Call the pediatricians whose info we gathered
Put the last few things in my hospital bag
Buy a glider
Put up shelving in the baby's closet
Decorate baby's room (we're waiting for the decal to arrive)
I also want to make some meals and freeze them
Infant CPR class next weekend
Wash the last few baby things

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. We will do most of these this weekend or this week.

What do you guys have left to do?

Re: **Official November 2011 Mommies Thread***

Turned 37 weeks today and I'm done. Just mentally, physically I feel fine. Physically I feel great.

Here's why the mental is blah...
September 13th I worked and was a little tired, nothing crazy. Late that night I had a pink tinge when I wiped so my Doctor told me my working days were over. Any time I take off now comes off my maternity leave (if I even have a job to go back to). I'm so done being home with nothing to do.

Tuesday I thought walking around the outlets would be good, but apparently walking is no good for me now either. Later in the day during the stress test the LOs heartrate was a little low. So they sent me to Labor and Delivery to sit on the monitor for an hour. Everything was fine though. So I was told I basically can't do anything beyond little shopping trips now.

The baby is measuring 39 weeks. Depending on which sono tech measures me is weighing in at 8lbs 3oz +/- 6 oz or 8lbs 11oz +/- 6oz. Either way it is a big baby.

We can't decide on names. We have the girl name narrowed down to two names with a set middle name. The boy name is between three first names with no idea on a middle name.

We can't find a pediatrician in an area that is mostly ideal for us. We have tons of suggestions if we want to drive 20-30 minutes.

Finally some good things:
The room is done.
Everything that I know I will use is washed.
The car seat is installed in my car.
Breast feeding class: done.
Childbirth Education class: done.
Hospital tour: done.

Yes! Only 28 days left for me if she comes on time. The second half of this pregnancy has been zooming by. We have to start calling pediatricians this week which I'm dreading since I think we're going to have a hard time finding a ped. that's willing to work with us on a vaccine schedule. Chat Icon

35 days for me....Im super nervous! I am like a maniac, I dont sit down. All I do is try to organize and get stuff done for the baby and for the house...but I never feel like I get anywhere. My next project is to sort out through all of her clothes and decide what Im going to wash and what Im going to store...I just want to be done a bit early so that I can just lay around and be lazy for the last couple of weeks.
