Justbeachy, good luck tonight! I was induced and it really wasn't terrible. The epidural helped tremendously, as I did go from feeling no pain to really intense pain as opposed to the pain gradually intensifying, but other than that it honestly wasn't that bad! You'll do great, and in the end it will ALL be worth it, I promise!

Thanks for the vote of confidence ladies!!
My doctor decided to hold off until Sunday. He said my cervix is "crap" right now and induction would most likely end in a c. So keep your fingers crossed that I have someeeeee progress!!!

good luck justbeachy - you'll be fine..... honestly as bad as it could be, it ends if you holding a beautiful baby. . It will pass, my brain is already starting to block part of it out and its been less than a week. epidurals are great, get them sooner when they say your eligible for it.

We have a few over due oct moms it looks like - unless they just aren't posting updates. I like to update the list though, it's exciting!
i had a visit today. Last week i saw the nurse practioner/midwife and she said she thinks ill go on the 25th bc thats her moms bday and she always delivers a baby that day. But today i saw the dr and he said that if he had to guess, the 25th might be wishful thinking. Her head is still "high in the sky" and theres been no progress between my 1st internal at 37.2 weeks and today at 39.2 weeks

Had my 38.2 day appointment today and I have less progress then I did last week  Last week she was very low and th doctors didn't think I would make it to my due date on the 31st but this week they said she crawled back up here and is really high...so it looks like I may have a November baby

broken clavical is not soo bad. some drs say to use a sling, ours just said to be easy around it. basically not to breastfeed the regular way on my left to help her right shoulder heal.... there was a football hold position which I was able to use but I think it kinda hurt my wrist which was sore already from the IV....luckily she does seem to move that arm around, just a little less than the other.
its odd, we got back from the ped visit today, they measured her twice at 20", yet hospital was 21". They said it happens sometimes cause the baby is moving around so much, but I've never heard of it before.....

DS was born on Tuesday. He was 2 days late just like his sister.
I got acupuncture at 4pm Monday, and was on my way to the hospital around midnight. No idea if it was because of the acupuncture, but I like to think it helped  Also, for me, delivery was MUCH easier the second time around!

Congratulations!!!!! Welcome !!!
So glad you had a better experience this time! My delivery was easier the second time (pushed 15 minutes instead of 1.5 hours) but the labor was much harder the second time around (I think because he was early and my water broke before I was in labor as opposed to last time).

Aww, thanks for your concern  Sorry I've been MIA but it's been a crazy week.
Gabriel Simon Rapz was born on Wednesday 10/17 at 3:12am weighing in at 8 pounds 12 oz and 21 inches tall.
Labor was not fun but all i have to say is thank g-d for the epidural 
Gabriel is a great baby and doesn't cry or fuss unless he actually wants/needs something. Right now, he's sitting in his bouncer looking around ... such a cutie 
It still hasn't fully sunk in that he's our baby - i feel like we're babysitting somebody else's child but i guess that's normal

Hey girls! I never got to update but we welcomed a beautiful little girl on 10-12-12 at 5:45am! Addison Rose, 7lb 14.5oz, 21in, graced us with her presence after a 15 hour induction that went VERY well! I think the only frustrating part of my induction is I was ready to start pushing at 2am but my dr was off delivering other babies!!! He had 4 patients at 10cm at the same time - oy vey! One was a set of twins being born vaginally and someone else who spiked a fever so I got put in a holding pattern for 2 hours and 45 min. I was actually ok with this because I started to panic and shake like a leaf about pushing and needed time to relax! Probably not THAT much time lol. But overall I wouldnt change anything and am just thankful my induction went well and I was able to get my epidural as soon as I wanted.
I am so happy my baby is here and giving birth was just an amazing experience and I sorta wish I could do it all over again! Seeing my baby girl for the first time was the best moment of my life. We loved the surprise of waiting to find out the sex and so glad we went team green!
