Dr. Hanauer - but her partner Dr. Dolisi delievered my son. LOVE them both!!!!
Old Country Road - in Garden City 516.742.7470 They are the only two in the practice. I believe they have a doctor in case they are both away but I've never dealt with him
I love everyone in their office also!
She is my OB too. Dr. Dolisi also delivered my son via c-section. I was too receptive to him when I 1st met him but loooved him when I delivered my son. I would have no problems having him deliver me again.
I love their office and staff.
They even recognized me on the phone before I even mentioned my name when I made my appt 1+ year (I was a bit behind!!!)after my son was born. It made me feel special and welcome.

Re: Okay, Let's Do An OFFICIAL "Who's Your OB?" Thread
I followed dr bliss from suffolk ob/gyn. I loved her. When dh and i started to think about babies she told me to see her partner DR Elliot Birnbaum. HATED HIM - AWEFUL BEDSIDE MANNERS He put me on clomid and i got pregnant. I of course wanted to get bloodwork and sonos done just to be on the safe side. My first prenatal appt i was at 7 weeks. he came in the room and said ur urine confirms ur pregnant. Congratulations. I was liek thats it. Dh asked for a sono, brinbaum said no. he would only do bloodwork. He did bloodwork and told me to go in 2 days later for a nother follow up. He called me the next day to say my numbers were fantastic and i was indeed pregnant. I went in the following day for repeat betas. the day after that he called me and told me I dotn have good news, ur numbers arent doubling. I would just go home and expect to miscarry any day. I was so upset. I went in the office where he saw me and said that im lucky to even to get pregnant and many women cant get pregnant and that i should just go home and expect to pass the fetal tissue within the next few days and would call me to follow up.
I went to see my sisters ob in brooklyn who i loved, Unfortunatly i live in suffolk but for now im sticking with him until i find someone who i like.
DR Birnbaum NEVER CALLED me to follow up. I had the office call 4 weeks later to go in for my first sono... UMMM WHAT SONO? i had a d&c done 2 weeks after i was at birnbaums office. Didnt the records show my betas didnt double or that his notes said it wasnt a viable pregnancy?
My girlfriend also didnt like birnbaum.
I now go to a RE (rsofny seeing dr cain and stelling) and love them. Im currently looking for a dr close to me in suffolk county. I would never recommend Birnbaum.

For those of you looking for an OB in Nassau County...
I see Dr. Henry Prince Preferred Women's Health 79 Froehlich Farm Blvd Woodbury, NY (516) 496-3900
Dr. Prince delivered my son via C-section. He has been my OB/GYN for over 10 years.
I have seen pretty much everyone in the group (there's about 8 doctors). I looove Dr. Bergman who's the high-risk doc there and Dr. Marchbein.
For those who prefer a woman, Dr. Janine Morris-Rush is wonderful as well.
They also have an office in Great Neck and most practice in both locations. I think someone mentioned Dr. Oppenheim on here who is in the Great Neck location (and probably Woodbury as well).

Re: Okay, Let's Do An OFFICIAL "Who's Your OB?" Thread
Dr. Michael Mesbah University Plaza in Garden City (I don't know the address off-hand)
516.794.1500
ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM!!!!!!!! I've been seeing him for almost 5 years and have never had any negative experiences with either him or anyone in the office. Even if I have a simple question, he will get on the phone and talk to me about it. After each exam, he takes you into his office for a sit-down to answer any questions or go over your exam, etc...
He did my endometriosis surgery last year and when my DH met him in the hospital, he was very surprised at how caring he was.
The only downfall is that he is the only doctor in the office, so I'm assuming there's a chance he won't be able to deliver if he's on vacation or something...

Re: Okay, Let's Do An OFFICIAL "Who's Your OB?" Thread
Who is your OB? Dr David What the address/phone number? N Massapequa How many people in the practice? 1 md (his associate moved away) 1 midwife, 1 pa Do you have a doc that you have been to that you WOULD NOT recommend? Dr David... his office is awful... for the las three months of my pregnancy i was waiting 2-3 hours to get into the room... any problem i had during the pregnancy he pused off onto a specialist so i ended up relying on my gp for pregnancy stuff... and the best part is that while i delivered 3 weeks early, on my actual due date i developed mastitis... so i called his office to find out that he was in isreal... would have been nice to know that my ob, the only person he allows in his practice to deliver (no the midwife does not deliver) was not going to be in the country so that i could atleast meet the dr i would have been using... the worst part was that his office would not help me determine what to do with the mastitis an i ended up going to the er for a solution.
As for Dr. Brown... mentioned earlier... i was unimpressed with his practice... when i was bleeding for several weeks and i called him he told me he wasnt really bothered by it and refused to see me...
