I love Dr. Ostroff but only went to see her after I left Dr. Francis Stern, my previous ob/gyn. Other than not taking any time to talk to me when I told her I was going to ttc, once I did and I was temping, I called her with a question. Well, I quickly found out that she is the type of doctor with a 'god' complex. She doesn't think her patients should question her at all and we should just listen to what she says. When I expressed concerns, I was called "controlling." She also told me that no one temps anymore and she "couldn't understand why I was still doing that." That woman made me feel awful!
Needless to say, I asked for recommendations in my family for a new ob/gyn. My cousin sees Dr. Ostroff. Not only did she love her, but Dr. Ostroff was able to do some major uterine surgery on her and my cousin came out with flying colors. So I went to see her and I loved her!
Loooooooooong story short, I got pregnant the next month! I think Dr. Ostroff really put a sense of comfort in me.

There are 5 doctors in the practice. I see Dr. Oh. She is very nice and has great bedside manner. I know someone whose child she delivered and was happy with her. I also heard good things about Dr. Baggot (the only other female in the practice)

I go to Nassau Suffolk OBGYN
Dr. Athanasios Antoniadis
They have an office on Hempstead Tpke in Bethpage (across from New Island Hospital)
They also have an office on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa and Montauk Hwy in West Islip. I used to go to the West Islip office but switched to bethpage when we moved to Merrick. They used to have 5 physicians, now it's just Dr. A and Dr. Kulpateeah. He is the BEST Ob I have ever had and I went through several and had some pretty terrible experiences with more than one. I ADORE him - he is honest and gentle and bery easy to talk to. he also has a great bedside manner and is very patient. I hope he never retires!!!
They are affiliated with GoodSam, New Island, Northshore LIJ and Winthrop.

I go to Dr Arato and Dr Blaszyck. I love them both!!! Dr B did both of my c-sections.
They are in Stony Brook Medical Park on Rte 347. I can't think of their number off hand....

There are several doctors but I only see Dr. Schulz unless she is out of town. Dr. Applebaum delivered and Dr. Altman released me in the hospital - joint effort because Dr. Schulz was on vacation...she called ME at home when she returned to check up on me before my 6 week appt.
I adore my OB and wouldn't trade her for any other....she even got me into her doctor for my migraines when I was having so many problems.
