Oh Mitt Romney...
Wanted to start a new thread on Mitt Romney's poignant (cue sarcasm) remarks on how he wishes he were born Latino since it'd help him win the election... What do you think of his statements?
Not to mention the interesting shade of his skin when he appeared on univision trying to appeal to the Latino vote... Why didn't he just go all out and wear a sombrero and carry maracas for crying out loud to drive home the point? lol

Oh Mitt Romney...
meh.. people put SOOO emphasis on race that you an only say certain things if you are a minority. Which in itself is an oxymoron. I dont care.
We are getting close to election, if he farts the wrong way they'll say he did it in the face of a newborn.
I dont get this 'scares the living crap' out of me stuff either. Because I may not be a FAN of Obama but I am already scared of what he's done for me and my family. I'm tired of scraping the bottom of the barrel. I don't see any hope and absolutely no change. All I've seen is it get worse and worse. Since he's been president I've actually had WORSE financial trouble and they are directly due to his administration (make american pay crap).
I want Change I can believe in and yeah, I'll take a dead dog over Obama right now. I want him OUT! Sure that's against the popular vote in NY but I'm not alone.
Sitting presidents have a VERY high rate of re-election. Look at Bush. You guys HATED him but he got re-elected. I don't see Obama to be any different.
I am only take solace that its only 4more years of his insanity and hope and pray that we can somehow all agree to FIRE CONGRESS because they push the bills through, THEY are out of touch with us THEY are the ones acting like children THEY stop progress. FIRE CONGRESS and lets get a TRUE fresh start.
Frankly I think Obama has embarrassed us as a country and I can't wait for him to be gone. 4 years, next year... whatever it takes.. get rid of him.

Oh Mitt Romney...
What is scary is what Obama has done to this country. Over the past 3.5 years... Our National Debt is skyrocketing The unemployment picture isn't improving Food Stamp recipients are at an all time high Americans collecting disability are at an all time high Gas prices have doubled.
How can this not scare you. Obama is not helping our Country.
Also, how could you vote for this guy knowing that Biden could be the president if something were to happen to Obama...
Is there something wrong with this guy? http://www.mrc.org/media-reality-check/abc-cbs-and-nbc-bury-bumbling-bidens-most-embarrassing-moments

And if McCain was elected, the same things would have happened. The above items are due to the poor economy and unemployment. When there are no jobs, many people go on food stamps. Obama inherited an economic disaster that was almost 30 years in the making, so to blame him for these items is just silly.

EXACTLY. What started the downturn was the housing market burst, which was caused by big banks and the previous governments that let it occur. That occurred in 2006, President Obama was not elected until 2008.. This ball had already started rolling. I am not saying President Obama has all of the answers, but this is certainly not all his fault. The appropriations bill didn't help, the cost of being at war for 10 years didn't help. This was a long time coming. It took a long time to get here, it is going to take a long time to get out.
As for gas prices, President's have very little to do with the global barrel price of crude oil. Yes, you could say we rely too much in imports, but it is actually below 50% and domestic oil output has actually increased, despite the hault on new drilling after the BP incident bc that did not decrease the output of already working drills.
There are so many factors that go into play, my point is, you cannot put it all on one President. (although I do blame a lot it on Bush )

Obama will go down as one of the better presidents. If you ask economists and people who actually know beyond what Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity preach....because of Obama i had health insurance through my mom at age 25 (the medical bills from my car accident months after this was instated were upwards of 10k, which I would NEVER be able to afford).
He has definitely EARNED my vote.

Just incase you are unaware of what he HAS accomplished: list of Obama's Accomplishments WITH citations (i do admit some of them may be biased sources, but A LOT of them are not, so take each one for what it is worth)

To be fair:
If McCain were elected, he would likely have tried to extend our combat presence in Iraq, there would be no talk of drawing down in Afghanistan, and we may also find ourselves at war with Iran and more heavily involved in Libya, based on the way he talked about the purpose of the military. Instead of bankrupting ourselves on entitlements, we would have spent that money on blowing stuff up and chasing terrorists down the rabbit hole.
And Bill Clinton bears a lot of the responsibility for approving legislation that set the banking crisis into motion.

This is true, that is why I said "previous governments" bc there was a lot more offices at play in this. That is what I mean though by it really cannot all be put on one president, just as one cannot blame the state of the economy and country solely on Obama.

I don't understand why people blame Obama for gas prices. Yes they were under $2 when he took office but months before that, while W was in office, gas prices were HIGHER THAN THEY ARE NOW.

If Congress (GOP) keeps blocking bills aimed to produce more jobs, how is unemployment supposed to drop? The GOP in Congress have made it their #1 priority to make Obama a 1 term President. A Senator from NC just voted Nay on a bill that would help Veterans get jobs yet he is trying to get a bill passed that would protect the wild horses of NC. Horses above VETERANS? And how is Romney planning on bringing jobs to the US when he is known for destroying jobs here and sending jobs over to China?
And you want to compare embarrassments? Romney's proven himself to be an embarrassment this week alone! From offending half of America to his tan on Univision, to his comments saying that he wish he was Mexican so he could get the Latino vote, to insulting our allies with his stupid comments.
And yes, I'd much rather have Biden in office god forbid something should happen to Obama than Ryan should something happen to Romney. Ryan is just as frightening as Romney, if not more!

My younger brother has very serious MS and was living in poverty because he couldn't get healthcare. Thanks to Obama, my brother can and does get health insurance and recently got a very high-profile job. I love Obama for so many reasons but this one is on the top of my list.

It's unfair to blame Obama for all the problems we face... and it's unrealistic for anyone to expect him to wave a magic wand and all things would be resolved. Especially considering congress clearly has an agenda to shoot down moves he tries to make towards progress.
Fighting two wars for the better part of the past decade surely hasn't helped us financially, yet not many people bring that up in their argument.
He inherited an ENORMOUS clusterfukc! I sincerely doubt we would have been in a better place today had McCain (or anyone else for that matter... republican or democrat) won.

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!! Very well said, I cant wait to say BYE BYE BYE to Mr. President Obama. People watch the media and cast votes based on what is on display. Every "Promise" Obama broadcasted was not granted, nor were his policies. He shamelessly made companies cast false votes to elect him, he said he would close Guantamo Bay and didnt. The troops, where are they? Didnt he say they would come home?
Do your research and educate yourself before electing a new President for the next four years. Race, and "change" are separate issues. The issues that govern our rules, and our present and future should be looked upon, not the color of someone's skin. If that is something that governs your vote, then what a shame you are to the country and the people that you coexist with.
