OK Ed-lie, we need to have a serious talk!!!
You are such a good little girl and I am blessed that you are so healthy. But your mother would deeply appreciate a little bit of cooperation.
You see, you are due to arrive on Thursday, August 28th. According to the 37 week visit Mommy just came from, you are nowhere near the "good to go" stage of this venture. I think it would be in your best interest to come out BEFORE Labor Day because if you don't, Mommy may have to go back to work and she REALLY does not want to have to do that.
So here is the deal. If you are able to comply with the little request of coming between now and before Labor Day, your daddy will not only get you that cherry red car he promised, but a pony too.
Mommy is about as closed as Fort Knox my little golden girl so act fast.

Leslie, if it makes you feel any better. When my sister had the baby last year, she went for her weekly appointment at just about 38 weeks, and was also told she was closed up like Fort Knox. Well, wouldn't you know it, she woke up the next morning to her water breaking and my nephew was born 11 hours later.
Here's hoping Ed-Lie is a good little girl who listens to her Mommy!

I think the cherry red sports car is too far in the future to be an effective bribe.
To bribe Scone to be prompt, we bought him a sporty red all terrain stroller complete with his own 'moonroof'.... we're hoping that immediate gratification (pop out of mommy and into your red 'sportscar') may work
definitely could sweeten the deal by putting cheese in the seat, though......

Did I miss something? What do you mean "I don't even know how to respond to this"? I don't understand? Did I offend by asking where you got the name from? I have never heard it before and was curious as to where it came from, I wasn't trying to make fun of it or anything. I am a big fan of different and unique names.

Ed-lie is not her name. It is an interim name comprised of half of DH's name and half of mine. I have been calling her that since I got my amnio results. Had she been a boy, she would have been called Les-ward.
When she is born, and I am home from the hospital, I plan on sharing her real name.

Actually LB my dear, hyphenation makes things very difficult for us. There are no hyphenated names in Hebrew so what would I do for her baby naming???
