has anyone went on the "official" 212012 site? they have a gift shop with shirts and stuff that say stupid things like "lets get ready to rupture" or "2012-THE END"

Exactly - It's like Y2K. A good reason to get people all worked up about nothing. What else did the mayans tell us that was so enlightening? Why do people focus on this one thing?
