Re: ok...the OFFICIAL *stuff my kids eat* thread!!!!

DD is 10 months. Started solids at 5 months (homemade) and was eating mostly table foods by 9 months. I think making the food has really helped b/c it's all the same tastes, just slowly added some chunks in there. Here's what she's had today:

Breakfast: Cottage cheese, banana & cheerios

Snack: Blueberries

Lunch: Risotto with mushrooms, broccoli & peas

Bottle in the AM and before morning & afternoon nap. Will have 1 more bottle and then having brown rice with spinach & tofu with some greek yogurt mixed in (to me, tastes like sour cream).

I also just bought 3 cans of formula (the big ones) today. Realized it will be the LAST 3 cans I buy for DD!! She's 1 on 9/23 and if I run out before, will start whole milk Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

DS is 10 months. 4 teeth on top, 3 1/2 on bottom. He started eating solids around 4 months.

He will still eat baby food but really enjoys feeding him self.
He eats:

cheerios
puffs
mum mums
gerber snacks
yogurt melts (loves these)
potatoes
tomatoes
bananas
bagels
waffles
annies mac & cheese
french fries
ice cream
turkey
ravioli (gerber)
nectarine
scrambled eggs
pizza crust
cheese

I try to mix it up, if I give him waffles I top them with a fruit puree, if I give him potatoes I top them with a veggie puree. If he's getting something that isn't that balanced - say a bagel I give him a small container of veggie puree first.

I've given daycare the ok to give him table food now provided I'm ok with it (I'm not ok with cookies just yet) so this week he's had grilled cheese and sweet potato tots.

ETA: I didn't put what food I give him at what time of day... I've given him scrambled eggs for dinner and ravioli for lunch.

12 mos, 7 teeth (4 top, 3 bottom), 2 more top teeth cutting right now.

24oz of milk (3 cups)
16oz water

breakfast:
2 eggo mini waffles (i eat the other 2 Chat Icon)
half a banana (i blend the other half into a smoothie)
oatmeal

lunch:
- chopped sweet potato and turkey burger
- fruit smoothie sorbet (i blend milk, half his breakfast banana, and whatever fruit i have on hand, then freeze overnight)

snack:
a handful of veggie straws and yogurt

dinner:
barilla farfallini (tiny bowties!) with grilled asparagus in a little olive oil, lemon juice, tiny bit of garlic and parm reggiano. i leave the asparagus stems whole - he picks them up and bites them.

sometimes after dinner he gets some ice cream or fruit sorbet. I try to stay away from fresh fruit at night because it makes him gassy.

ETA: i've given him homemade pizza, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, cream cheese cracker "sandwiches", celery with cream cheese and grapes, spinach/cheese omelettes, dr praegers spinach pancakes, etc. He likes pretty much everything.

My son (almost 2 1/2) is a terrible eater. Some days he eats, others, he barely touches a thingChat Icon . Anyway, here is what he ate today:

Breakfast:Banana & Cinnamon toast, OJ

Snack: Cheerios

Lunch: Watermelon, slice of whole wheat toast, yogurt

Snack: berry sherbert

Dinner: 2 helpings of ziti with homemade spaghetti sauce, a little ricotta & romano cheese

As you can see, my son is basically a carb/fruit- aholic. The only veggies he will eat are potaotes, sweet potatoes, brocolli, carrots once in a while and Dr. Praegar spinach cakes once in a while.

He also likes pizza (i usually make him homemade pita pizzas), meatballs once in a while, all breakfast foods (waffles, french toast, bacon, eggs sometimes).

Re: ok...the OFFICIAL *stuff my kids eat* thread!!!!

DS 9 months, 4 teeth, but i think the back molars are coming soon.

Oatmeal and a jar of fruit for bkfast

lunch, usually a veggie

eats yogurts and / or another fruit as a snack.
(at daycare he gets rice cereal with fruits and veggies 3x a day).

He has had icecream, and fruit smoothies.

We have not had luck with anything with a thicker texture..barfed on mashed pototatoes, mac n cheese stage 3 in a jar.

will occasionally eat a cheerio.

and 4-5 bottles in between all this for the day.

Breakfast-
1/2 banana each
oatmeal
applesauce

Snack-
cheerios

Lunch- diced sweet potato
jar of stage 3 pears

Dinner-(we were away for the weekend, and DH and older DS are out so no food in the house)
baby food - veggie dinner and fruit

Snack - watermelon

Plus 4 - 5-6oz bottles

Re: ok...the OFFICIAL *stuff my kids eat* thread!!!!

DD 10 months

Breakfast: Mangos (pureed) with oatmeal, cheerios and whatever I eat

Lunch: Squash (pureed) and a yo baby

Dinner: Half a piece of grilled chicken (cut into small pieces) pureed green beans with rice cereal and a half a piece of american cheese

Snacks: 100000000 puffs and yogurt melts and whatever we are eating throughout the day.

She would be happy eating all table foods, but I'm keeping up with the purees for now because then I know she's eating enough/a balanced diet. I'm not as confident with table foods.

Re: ok...the OFFICIAL *stuff my kids eat* thread!!!!

DS is 13 months and has 18 teeth

Breakfast: Milk, banana
Snack: Cheerios
Lunch: Boar's Head Ovengold Turkey and a mini bagel
Snack: Pirate's Booty
Dinner: Pasta w/ meatballs (homemade), crackers and a few slices of american cheese
Dessert: Puffs and a few animal crackers

DS has been sooooo picky lately, turning down yogurt and sometimes bananas, which used to be his favorites. He just got in his molars so maybe that's the problem?

I started DD on cottage cheese 9 months but think PED said after 6 months was OK. She eats all dairy (full fat) - everything except whole milk. I was confused too and my aunt said the other day it's how the milk is broken down that it's easier for them to digest (in yogurt, cottage cheese, other cheese, etc). Who knows lol but DD loves it and no problems yet...

DD is almost 20 months. Here are some of her typical meals:

Breakfast:

Cheerios w/ milk (or dry)
1 blueberry pancake w/ lite syrup
Peanut butter & banana sandwich made with 1 slice whole wheat bread
Oatmeal w/ fruit
Yoplait yogurt (TJs is better but I rarely get there anymore)
Whole wheat bagel thins w/ plain or veggie cream cheese

And SOMETIMES, Daddy will make us chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream on Sundays...she looooooves those but that's a "sometimes" treat for obvious reasons
Chat Icon

Lunch:

Ham & cheese or Turkey & cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread
Cut-up hot dog w/ ketchup
Cheese quesadilla
Chicken nuggets
Veggie Lasagna (my friend made this for us right after DS came along and my DD LOOOOVES it, so I asked for the recipe!)
Fruit & Yogurt or cheese and Puffs

Dinner:

Pretty much whatever we're having...but if it's something she doesn't like, our old standbys are chicken nuggets, TJ chicken cilantro wontons, or fish filets.

I'm embarrassed to say that my veggie-making skills are naught, and I still rely on Stage 2 and 3 veggies a lot Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Snacks:

Fruit (watermelon, blueberries and bananas are her favorites)
Baby Goldfish
Mum Mum biscuits
Yogurt
String cheese

Drinks:

Water
Whole milk (she drinks about 32 oz. a day Chat Icon)
Crystal Light iced tea
Sweet tea as a special treat
She also likes to drink Daddy's coffee Chat Icon
