OMG SOOOOO OFFENDED VENT
So I was at a mommy and me class and they started playing God Bless AMerica. It's one of my favorite songs and a woman all but cursed out the teacher in front of the children for playing the song. Saying that she was not born in this country and doesn't feel RACIST songs should be played. ALso she doesn't think it instills good values. But when I was leaving HUMPS was on the outside radio and the little girl broke in an all out BOOTY dance. Is that good VALUES????? My husband is serving in Afghanistan and this is what we have going on inside a MOMMY AND ME????

I was not born in the US either and I see nothing wrong with this.
Heck.... nobody asked me to come to the US. That was MY decision. So she can always leave if she thinks only HER country songs should be played. What else? Another one against the Pledge of Allegiance?????

I dont get PO'd very often. Most stuff I just shrug off. But I dont think I could have let this one go....
When you go to another country you need to assimilate to the customs etc of that country as you would laws and moral standards.

Wow I can't believe it!!!!!!!!! What an a$$ she must have looked like...if I was the teacher I'd tell her to kiss off and LEAVEEEE!!!!! What kind of behavior is that in front of the kids???????
As to the word "God"...in every religion there is "God"...why is it always interpreted as a Christian God...it could be Jewish, Muslim or another religion...

She's mistaking nationalism for racism. She lives in a country, she should expect to hear the songs of that country. Unless God Bless America added the line "God Bless Only White Males", I think it's a stretch to racism.
However, I'm one of those people that believe "under God" should be taken out of the pledge of allegiance as we are a nation made up for FREEDOM OF RELIGION - which includes NON-RELIGION.

That is terrible! Your husband is fighting to protect us and this country, which she has chosen to move to. If she doesn't want to hear God Bless America then she shouldn't be here. Playing patriotic music will happen in any country you go to as it's part of the culture.
