the intolerance of people is amazing and sad.
barbara is right---it's a national song. it has nothing to do with race. it's patriotism.
i'm an agnostic who really doesn't belive in god. but i have NO PROBLEM having my child (or myself) sing songs with lord or god in it. i want to teach him tolerance and respect for everyone and everything.
if i don't let him listen to all types of music i am not raising him properly. our country is becoming a sad sad place if everything becomes "sanitized"
the teacher honestly probably can't say what she truly feels for fear of losing her job. PARENTS, on the other hand, should raisy holy h ell with that woman.

I'm Agnostic and I don't find God Bless America offensive or the Pledge of Allegiance, for that matter.
How ignorant of her. I'm so sick of the people living in this country who don't like it or aren't proud to live here.

I dont really care what your religion/nationality/sex is but "god bless america" is a patriotic song. If this country is good enough for you to live in then I assume this song would not insult anyone. What is with people? 
Scary to think they are teaching their children this sort of behavior.
