I always think of working for the LIRR as the "promised land" because they have great benefits, very little layoffs, etc.
I see there are HR jobs there:

Great idea! He just went to visit with a friend who is a supervisor there and they said there was a freeze on the the jobs but they now are taking applic. again. But they said its a process.

He has a BA in human relations and a Masters in business/healthcare. he has done alot of case work/quality assurance type jobs. But to tell you the truth...if he collects cans I would be more then happy...I am so upset right now.any jobs for can collectors 
I don't know what he did prior, but if his graduate degree is in Healthcare, what about going to a hospital system in some type of Administrator capacity?
(Like NorthShore, NY Presbyterian, Catholic Health Services - etc)
