BREAKING NEWS
Wildfire: The latest on the Santiago fire
There are mandatory evacuations starting at Silverado Canyon, including Modjeska, Williams and Hickey canyons and the Hamilton Truck Trail. - 5:49 p.m.
The Santiago fire has consumed 18,000 acres. Firefighters said containment remains at 30 percent. The flames are moving eastward and are erratic, due to wind, said Orange County Fire Authority Battalion Chief Kris Concepcion. - 5:43 p.m.
At least twenty Modjeska Canyon houses and structures burned to the ground Tuesday as strong winds whipped huge flames through the narrow canyon area. - 5:20 p.m.

I haven't but my sister was suppose to evac yesterday and stayed . She ran for her life as a fire bomb took out her backyard and scorched the back of her house. She's on alert again tonight.
My DS and stepdaughter both live in Rancho Santa FE and evac'ed 2 days ago and have no idea if there houses are still there

There are partial lists on line now. The Rancho Sante Fe FD has one up. I can't imagine seeing your address on a list like that. . .

Is anything hitting Los Angelas? I don't know anything about CALI. Not sure where things are located? I have a co worker who is in L.A. Visiting her daughter.

Most of LA is fine. Other than being stuck in the house in this hot weather due to all the smoke in the air. But the poor people only 20 miles south of us

Good Morning ! I finally got some sleep!
Day 3 ....
There is still concern in my sisters area this AM.
The Canyons by me are totally in ruins
The fire spread so much in the night.
These canyons are where I spent many great times with my friends. Many homes lost in there. There is a Bird/animal sanctuary in there. THere is a wilderness park...
They are completely being devistated.
Our local Resort area mountains are being hit hard. At least 400 homes up there are gone with 1000 more homes being threatened.
The winds seem to be slowing down
 But it's still very hot and NO humidity.
I'm shell shocked today and very sad.
I need to check the Rancho Santa Fe FD webiste to see if my DS and My stepdaughter's house's are still there
I can't believe what I'm seeing on the new regarding the canyons, These particular canyons connect to areas like my sisters area but East of her, I know so many families in these areas.
