On a wing....
There's a girl I'm FB friends with who does not know "best friend" is 2 words- she types "bestfriend." The same girl has a tattoo with a typo in it.

"For all intensive purposes" instead of "for all intents of purposes"
"Nip it in the butt" instead of "Nip it in the bud"
"Beckon Call" instead of "Beck and call"
Isn’t it “intents and purposes”?
The correct phrase is "for all intents and purposes." It originates from English law dating back to the 1500s, which used the phrase "to all intents, constructions, and purposes" to mean "officially" or "effectively." yes. That was a typo on my part.

I often wonder if people think it makes sense that way. Like I get typos, but when it's repeatedly used like that by the same person. I get that you misheard it, but do you think it makes sense that way? Like you are trying to say it makes you feel better and relieved and gives you "Peace" in your "Mind" So where does the mine come in?? Peace in your Mine? Coal mine?

Mines, like that's mines... I say this and it drives my husband nuts.
I know it's terrible but I can't kick the habit. Something I inherited from my family.

Re: On a wing....
Idk if it's a hispanic or regional thing but my family and few other of my friends and their families do this. Like Chuck e' Cheeses, Great Adventures, I even seen s added at the end of names.
I made conscious effort to kick this habit. 'Mines' is already too much lol.

Yes!!! And I've heard this from so so many people, including people that I thought knew how to read. Why add the T?
