Same here. They feel so cold and institutional. Definitely not something I would want in my house. Not even factoring in the cleaning aspect...
Mine are far from cold and institutional, I have navy paint on the top of the walls and a colorful plaid shower curtain in one, and in my master a pretty silver sage color on the top of the walls with the towels in similar sage tones. All depends how you accent them.
I have three kids (two are boys who are not known for their neatness) and really don't have to do anything extraordinary to keep them clean, but to each his own.
To me, that's far from all-white, then. I have no problem with a partially white bathroom. I just personally don't like white floor tile, white wall tile, white cabinets, white fixtures, and all white paint. But, no matter what anyone does in their house, it's their house, so in the end, my opinion is worth as much as the pixels it takes up on the screen....

I want to take a sledgehammer to my white bathroom. Especially with the post-partum hair loss... omg... just thinking about what my bathroom looks like is making me angry!!

That's gorgous! I don't understand why hair is a bigger deal in a white bathroom. It's still there in a darker room even if you can't see it as well, so a white bathroom isn't any dirtier.

I have a bathroom with white subway tile walls and mostly white tile floors, not too different from that picture above (but the walls above the tile are painted blue). Hair is definitely an issue - you saw it a lot less when we had beige tile floors. I mean, I try my best not to let my floors be dirty, but with the white floors I'm going over them with a Swiffer like twice a day and still notice them.
Also, I love my white subway tiles with white grout, but it's a PITA to keep the shower clean for sure. You have to be REALLY vigilant with that grout sealer - put it over the tiles as soon as they're done. If the package says to do two coats, do three. And do it again every 6 months. With white tile and white grout, any speck of mold/mildew in the shower is so noticeable.

We just renovated our bathroom and went with all white tile, except for one accent wall that is in blue glass tile. I am obsessed with it. We used white recrystallized glass tile in 3x6 (subway size) on the walls, and larger 12x24 on the floor, which is great. I find the larger tiles that have less grout are easy enough to keep clean. Agree with others that said small white tiles (1x1, etc) are a pain (had it in my last apartment and the grout was impossible to clean). The recrystallized glass tiles are durable and do not stain, unlike some times of marble (which can be sealed). I really love the look.

My DD's bathroom is all white. White hex floor, white subway tile, an accent of a white iridescent glass tile, white vanity, and white carrera marble vanity top. I happen to  it. The only part that is annoying is the grout on the floor. I should have chosen a darker gray. But that said, it is upstairs and shoes and dogs are not allowed up there. Otherwise, I don't find it looks any more dirty than any of the other bathrooms because it is white. I would not change it a bit. I say if you like the look go for it!

I rent an apartment with an all white bathroom.
The bad- You do see the hair more. But I don't think it is a big deal.
The good- it goes with any color hand towels.

Agreed! I feel like my bathroom looks dirty within minutes after cleaning it. Especially when I am a shedder and DH is a hairy beast.

Unless you have a "mid tone" aka "beige" bathroom tile, you will see it all on either white or dark tile.
I have hard colored floors in my LR. You can see every particule of dust/hair. It's insane to maintain.
The while tile grout will look dingy very quickly.
But you do have to maintain white countertop and white floor A LOT.

I love the look of all white too but I wanted our new master to be practical for our lifestyle so we did white carrera marble and white subway tiles, white wainscoting on the walls but our vanities are a dark wood and our floor tile is gray tones with a pattern. I'm really happy with our decision.
These pictures were taken before we were 100% finished with the details.
