Ovarian Cyst
Does anyone have any experience with these? I've been dealing with one for 8 weeks. I was having pain that sent me to the ER Sunday and I followed up with my GYN yesterday.
The damn thing grew and is pretty big. I'm scheduled to have it removed next week.
I'll go over the whole procedure with my doc I was just looking for some info from ladies who have BTDT.
Thanks!

Re: Ovarian Cyst
ive had them since im 16 when i was put on birth control pills. it was the only thing that suppressed my pain. apparently my cysts are under my ovaries and can't be removed. but they're also the type that pop and grow back. sexy. when i went off the pill to get pregnant my pain came back. but im back on the pill now so no pain. GL!

Re: Ovarian Cyst
i had the mirena in for 1.5 years and got cysts every month- some were more painful than others but i ultimatley got it removed b/c of this. I feel your pain. there were times when i couldnt sit, stand, lay- it just hurts. My sister had dermoid (sp) cycts on her ovaries and had them removed, those were painful too.

Re: Ovarian Cyst
I never had an issue with them and in Dec 2009 a few months after i had my DD I had alot of pain in one side and they found a 6cm cyst on my left oavry, they said anything above 3cm will likely not go away on it's own. I had laproscpoic removal a week later and I was fine. They ended up taking half my ovary because it had taken up so much of it but recovery was very easy and was surprisingly not too sore but took it easy for 2 days anyway. Good luck!

Re: Ovarian Cyst
I never even knew I had one until it ruptured 2 years ago. It was the worse pain I have ever felt in my entire life! I've been back to the GYN ever 6 mos since and I haven't had any further issues. Good luck with the surgery!

Re: Ovarian Cyst
Yup I get them once or twice a year on the rt side. Theya re the kind that rupture on their own. I had my appendix removed in 2005 because everytime I had one rupture they thought it was my appendix. Now that it's gone I just suffer through. I take a vicodin and lay with the heating pad on my belly. In 1-2 days i'm much better. I had one rupture at 8wks pg and that SUCKKED! I could do nothing but be in pain. I was on bc and that helped, but not anymore. It's just a part of me and i have had this problem since I was 14.
