Overnight potty training is not going as well as I expected

This was the scene in my house this morning:

Me: Frankie, it's time to get up and get dressed,

DS: ok, mommy (takes his pjs off), but I have to make peepee

Me: ok, go ahead and make peepee

DS takes his overnight diaper off and puts it by the foot of his bed, lays it neatly open, shimmies to the top of his bed, grabs his weinie and aims for the diaper at the foot of the bed, hysterical laughing

Me: Nooooooooooo, Frankie!!! Not in the diaper, in the toilet!

DS: but you said it was ok if sometimes I have to make peepee in my diaper.

Me: I meant when you were sleeping if you had an accident.
