Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
We won't have a changing table this time around so I thought it would be a great idea to have the PNP with the changing table attachment.
Since I've made myself crazy looking at all different types, I'm second guessing myself if the changing table attachment is really worth it.
I'm also guessing you would have to remove the changing table anytime you put your LO to sleep.
I need some help I'm so lost!!

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
Hey, definitely get it! We still use our in the living room for the twins so I don't have to walk upstairs every time they need to be changed. We have 2.. the graco one is harder to remove the changing portion so we leave it on and put the babies to sleep on the other side of the pack & play. The evenflo one is easy to remove. It doesn't have to be expensive to get... my mom bought the evenflo one for her house as a spare, it was only like $35 from Target on sale.

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
I have the Chicco one and I keep the changing table portion on if DS sleeps in it (which isn't that often).
I use it a lot but, now we're switching to the bed because DS doesn't roll as much on the bed as he does on the changing table (he tries to climb off).

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
We used the pack n play with the changing table for the downstairs of our house. I wasn't going to go upstairs all the time to change a diaper. After about 2 months, we decided to spend a $120 and get a regular changing table for downstairs. Our problem with the pack n play was a lot lower so it started to bother our back, plus it has a weight limit. HTH!

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
DD is 4 days old. We just got home yesterday - our PNP is downstairs so she naps in it during the day. our bedrooms are upstairs. and i dont want to be running up and down the stairs.
we use the changing table part. I had a C-section and it is great bc I don't have to bend down!! I wouldn't be able to change her on the couch or floor right now.

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
I used it all the time with child #1 b/c he slept in our room for about 2mths, and my MIL has a hard time doing stairs so we would leave it downstairs for her.
I barely used it with child number 2

We used it all the time. That was honestly the only use we got out of the Pack n Play.

I used mine all the time when she was younger instead of going upstairs to do it...I loved it. The one I have you just fold the changing part over to close it...I did not have to take it off if the baby was sleeping in it.

Same here. And for this purpose, it was worth it for us. Now that she's older, we just took off that part and keep her PnP downstairs for naps or if I need to contain her for a few minutes.

This is what we do too. It has been a LIFESAVER. The boys don't nap in ours though. They use their swings now and used their bouncy seats when they were "babies."

Wasn't worth it for us since we live in a small ranch.
I can see how they would be useful though if you live in a 2 story.

The changing table part is the only part of it I used
Honestly, of all the baby paraphenalia I ever got, my PNP was the least needed for us ...

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
We used it for our downstairs until we moved the PnP upstairs for DD to sleep in. We have a different changing table down here now.
Now that DD is sleeping in her own room I will probably put the PnP away b/c it is too big for our living room.
But it was worth it IMO.

We use the bed just as much as the changing table, not really needed but convenient!

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
For the first 4 months we only used the changing table for each changing. ... including just getting dressed LOL. After that now we just change him anywhere and everywhere... so we put the pnp away ... We coudn't have lived without it.

If i had to do it again, I would not waste the money on a changing table. I never used it. I actually threw it out after the first couple of weeks.

Re: Pack n Play with Changing table-really worth it?
I hated the changing table for the pack and play. I felt like she rolled to one side on it, and she was a tiny preemie. I also wouldn't leave it on while she was sleeping so I had to take it off, all the time. Looking back I would have just bought a cheap changing table w/ storage from IKEA. I honestly don't mind going up and down though. I keep wipes in the family room, and diapers, and will change her on a blanket on the floor if need be.

We never used the changing table of the pack and play. We always change kids on the bed or the floor.

ITA. I would change DS on the floor when downstairs. If I could go back I would get an inexpensive, no-frills PNP.
