Painful gas and constipation

I am a little over 37 weeks. I have such gas and constipation, its actaully painful. Its this normal?? I feel like everything is trapped and it hurts so bad.

Has anyone had this???

i had this in my first trimester - so bad that the pain would wake me up at night... I went to a GI and he had me take milk of magnesia to clean myself out. did it twice and haven't had those wretched pains since.

I had this problem since the very beginning of my pregnancy. I have to take Milk of Magnesia at least twice a week and Colace everyday. It's horrible, but I hope you get relief soon.

Im 15 weeks tomorrow and I have been having such bad pain, I take colace every day and its not really helping. I dont know what else to do it. The pains/cramps scare me so much, I get so afraid it means something is wrong with the baby, even though im pretty certain its the constipation

My doctor says Miralax is safe- only stays in your intestines (like colace) and doesn't go into your bloodstream and hence to cross placenta.

I suffered with my first two pregnancies but being able to use Miralax SAVED me this time!

ughhhh ME! but let me tell you, Miralax is a lifesaver everytime!
