Re: Palin: does anyone else believe this?

I saw a clip of a newscast (CNN or MSNBC I think) regarding these issues. I realllly hope it's not true, she cannot honestly be that uneducated.

I agree...there's no point to discuss it now. However, I don't think we've seen or heard the last of her.

I personally think that the way she was treated from the moment she was announced VP canidate was DISGUSTING. The media was relentless in trying to dig up ANYTHING to cast a negative light on her.

Whether you agree with her policies or not, she was not treated the same as the others, and the media was more concerned about ANYTHING that could be construed as negative publicity for her, rather than report or investigate Obama's questionable relationships, which is INSANE to me... but that of course is just my opinion. Chat Icon

If I recall Obama was the target of the press at the beginning of his campaign. Just like Palin. His middle name, that he was a terrorist. Caricature of him and his wife on the front page as 2 terrorists with weapons. His association to a pastor.

Come on! The media has been dishing out on both side. Not just Sarah Palin.

But she did dig her own grave during interviews.

Whether this is true or not. It's over! She is back to Alaska.

I think obama has done quite well with the press and it seems to be continued considering Chris matthews, a journalist mind you, just said that "I want to do everything I can, to make this thing work, this new presidency work".

I don't believe Palin said those things - but at this point does it really matter?

You mean Chris Mathews who was getting tingly feelings down his leg or was it up his leg for Obama...Rediculous

At least he admitted he is biased. Just wait until the Fairness Doctrine is reinstated - it will be a nightmare.

Re: Palin: does anyone else believe this?

I think that those that say why talk about it or enough, are just experiencing a case of sour grapes because McCain lost.

How can we not discuss the fact that the GOP or more specifically the McCain campaing tried to sell us a bill of goods, they tried to make us beleive that she was a good candidate to serve one heart beat away from the presidency, when they very well knew she was DUMB!!

You know what shame on them for trying to pull the wool over our eyes, but thank god the american people saw right thru it, we saw for ourselves how uneducated this woman is. And shame on them for not vetting her becasue we know they couldn't have possibly meant to present this silly woman as a legitimate candidate.

And to those tha say why not leave her alone and let her go back to Alaska, well I think if anyone thinks this woman is going anywhere they are sadly mistaken, she is an attention seeker and LOVES the limelight, she is I'm sure trying to poise herself for the national political spotlight.

And again if she is this dumb and I think that she is, then we have a right to know before she ascends in power.

Remember this is not the media making this up, McCain's own people are saying this, so if you don't beleive it from the horses mouth well you are just turning a blind eye.

But I beleive they should focus on alll of them, which includes Palin. You just can't blame them when McCain's own team is dishing the dirt, they make it so easy.

Re: Palin: does anyone else believe this?

Well I can say that I not experiencing a case of sour grapes because McCain lost. I supported him, I voted for him, he lost. It's done. Why the need to still focus on Palin when we don't have to worry about her being VP anymore anyway? Focus on Obama and Biden, they are the ones that matter now. If Palin decides to come back into the national spotlight for 2012, well people can debate that when the time comes. I for one, could care less what Sarah Palin does right now. But I sure do care about Obama/Biden...and Biden is not the sharpest knife in the drawer either. I also honestly don't believe that Palin thought Africa was a country, IMO.

As I said before, we should focus on ALL of them, why not?!?!

And you know what you can't make this sh*t up, I know its hard to beleive, but having heard her speak, its not so far fetch.

But I guess if you won't beleive what your own candidate's campaing is saying then so be it.

I believe that Biden however is much more qualified for the job than Palin. I do wish they would leave her alone, although I think she likes all the attention.

obama had to keep Biden tucked away after he kept putting his foot in his mouth, but now that he is VP, he has to be released and he will soon be privy to more of his genius statements.

I'm not denying that she may not have been qualified for the job. What i'm saying is, they didn't win, it won't be her job. So weather she was qualfied or not really doesn't matter now, we'll never know. I didn't vote for Palin, I voted McCain. Palin was just part of the package. I was a McCain supporter long before he chose Palin.

hey we all know Biden can be a loose cannon, but at least he has a basic working knowldedge of Geography.

I understand that Palin is an embarrassment for those that finally see her for what she is , just an ambitious, uneducated, uniformed woman in designer suits, so I understand why Republican or McCain supporters don't want to speak about her. I wouldn't either, I too would change the subject.

No even worse she tried to assume one of the highest positions in our country when her own party and her own campaign knew she was ill prepared.

I mean think about it McCain's own people are saying she was not prepared, the same people that wanted, no practically begged us to vote for them.

Tha is some scary stuff. THANK GOD the majority of the american people didn't buy the lemon they were trying to sell us.

Re: Palin: does anyone else believe this?

I am so on the fence about Palin right now. In some ways I feel very bad for her. She was tossed into the national spotlight with zero warning, and clearly could not handle it. Now she is the perfect scapegoat for the GOP, when they put her in that position to begin with! How they thought the governor of Alaska was qualified for VP is beyond me. And I still think she wasn't vetted properly, but that's an argument for another day.

Although I disagree with her on pretty much all her policy views, she can't be that uneducated. She is governor of a state - granted, not a state that many of us can relate to, but obviously she had enough smarts to get her that far. An article today said prior to the election, she had a 89% approval rating, by far the best of any current governor. Clearly she was doing something right. I just don't think she was ready for the big league - as evidenced by her interviews.
