paraguard IUD
I would like some info on this....who has this? Did you have it and then go on to get pregnant again after it was removed? Any complications?
I want to have a baby in about 2 years so I am not sure if this is a good option....I cannot use any other type of bc (except condoms)
TIA

Re: paraguard IUD
I have Mirena and I love it. Aside from the first month of bleeding it's been great.

Re: paraguard IUD
I wanted the Paraguard because it has no hormones (Mirena does) but my Dr recommended against an IUD for me because he said I was too young and only had one child. The risks are scary (though very rare) and DH read up on them and agreed with the Dr. I, on the other hand, would still love to try it. So if you get it, please let us know if you like it.
I'm also interested to hear from others that have been on it and went on to TTC #2 with no problems.

I cannot have any hormones so I would need to get the paragurad. I am just nervous. I think I may hold off for a bit and just keep using condoms
I need some more real life experiences, where are you girls?

Re: paraguard IUD
My doctor recommended getting the IUD too even though I plan to try again in 2 years - but like you I too am nervous about the possible complications no matter how rare they are. I think I will hold off for now until I have #2 then see how I feel at that point in time.

I had many a conversation w/ my GYN about it and I appreciated the information that he was able to give me. If you're concerned/uncomfortable call him/her and ask questions that you have. That's probably the best way to settle on a decision.
