Past Progesterone Users- Questions???

Ok, so I need to know when your Dr told you to stop taking your progesterone & when did you actually do it??????

Did you completely stop taking it one day or wean off from going from 2 suppositories a day down to 1???

My Dr told me 12 weeks to STOP. I didn't know if he meant at the start of 12 weeks or the end of 12 weeks???????


Anyways, I AM TERRIFIED TO STOP TAKING. I am currently 13w 4d & YUP still taking them twice a day. I guess my fear is coming from my previous 2 m/c and I just dont know what to do.

Should I just stop TODAY?? Or go for 3 more days and just do it once a day to wean my body off????


MY DH is yelling at me for not following the DR, I just keep making up my own rules over here.

I was terrified too so I totally know how you feel RE said I could stop at 9 weeks and I stopped at 9w5d after my 1st OB appt.

I know exactly how you feel. I was on progesterone suppositories once a day and the Dr. told me to stop at 12 weeks as well. I was so nervous to stop because of the possibility of something bad happening. I ended up finishing up the box and stopped around 13 weeks and all was fine. You should be ok and trust your doctor. If he tells you it is ok to stop then stop. Good Luck!

I stopped taking them at 10 weeks. I just used up whatever I had left and then stopped. I didn't wean off them or anything. By that time the placenta has taken over and you don't need supplemental progesterone anymore.
I know how scary it can be, but it is time!

I stopped at 9 weeks as told by the Dr. I too know how you feel, I had 4 m/c's
