DD's speech therapist has suggested that we take her to an ENT to check her adenoids. Does anyone have a Dr recommendation? We are in mid-Suffolk. Someone IRL suggested Dr. Lee in Smithtown so I made an appt with him but it's not until last week of May. Looking for some other suggestions. TIA!

Its a hike for you but we used Dr. Mendholshen in Garden City for our daughter. I was really comfortable with him. He did tubes and adenoid removal

We just saw him too last week. DS may need tubes. Dr seemed pleasant but we were there on a crazy busy day with over an hour and a half wait. Not pleasant with a 19 mo but the dr did apologize. Called yesterday to follow up bc DS has another ear infection and I'm pretty sure his front desk had zero clue what was going on. It's a big office so I'm feeling lost in the shuffle right now.

We saw him as well and won't be returning. I wasn't impressed. At all.

Yikes. I don't think that is the norm. We had several visits before deciding on the tubes and I don't ever remember waiting like that.

I liked that he didn't rush the tubes. Another Dr. we saw on first consult said ok lets schedule surgery. Dr. Medholshen monitored for several months and decided on tubes when he felt was necessary.

Dr Mendelsohn did my DD's ear tube surgery in December. My only complaint with the office is the billing dept. I've been fighting a bill with them/my insurance over a charge. The office got paid from my insurance company but the office wants to still charge me another $240!

We had the complete opposite experience. Waited for close to 2 hours and he wanted to snip DD's mild tongue tie the following week. I said thanks but no thanks, we'll think about it. Then the office called me a few days later to give me a time for the OR. Sooooo yeah, didn't go over too well with me.

Had same experience regarding the tongue tie with my DS when he was 8 months old. I told him that I wanted to think about it and got a call about scheduling time. It is a busy practice. I use a another doc there for myself that I like.

I agree! We used Dr. Monte for tubes and adenoids. She's great- takes her time, is very thorough and answered all our questions. The audiologist that works for her is fantastic as well.

He did my son's adenoid & tonsil shaving. I love this man because he gave my son a better quality of life. DS was a miserable kid before the surgery. Two of my good friends kids had tubes done with him as well & everything turned out great with them.
