Penne Alla Vodka
Can u make that a day or two ahead of time? I'm thinking of making a tray for a party, but i can't make it the day of the party. Does it re-heat and stil taste good when its not made the same day you are going to eat it?

I would have some extra sauce to mix in if dries out a little.

I don't think it is good at all made ahead. I am super picky with my pasta though. You could maybe make the pasta ahead of time but I would heat up the sauce and pour it fresh right before it is served.

What if you make the sauce ahead of time, then just heat it up, boil some pasta, then throw together? This is what I'm planning on doing.

This. It won't taste right if you cook the pasta ahead of time and put it in the fridge. And coming from an Italian family I'd be banned from cooking if I ever did that! Make the sauce and just cook the pasta that day it'll take you 15 minutes.

You can definitely make the sauce ahead of time and them warm up on the stove again while making the pasta.... but make the pasta fresh before serving.

This. If you mix it all together ahead of time, it tends to separate and get oily.

Agreed. Make the sauce ahead, reheat and throw over freshly boiled pasta
