Oh god, I waited the full 6 weeks and then some. I was in some SERIOUS pain. I had complications healing from my tear it was months before I would even think about it.

Yes-and I would have waited longer if I could have gotten DH on board.

I'm not anti-sex-I just didn't get my mojo back until I was maybe 12 weeks pp.

I had a csection, but I pushed for 2.5 hours before the C. I went at 4 weeks PP and dr gave me the clear.

So..no....we did not wait...

What kind of birth control did you use? I'm 5 weeks PP today and am petrified of getting pregnant again too soon. I read that this is the most fertile time too!!! Condoms really irritate me and I don't go back to the dr for two weeks when I can get birth control. Should I just wait until I am on birth control??

After #1, I went back on the pill. We used a condom the first couple of times cuz the doc recommended that I be on the pill for 2 weeks.

After #2, I got an IUD and I love it! Also used condoms until I got the IUD.

Re: Personal Question: did anyone not wait the full 6 weeks post partum?

We didn't, because I was too big to do anything a month before I delivered, so we couldn't wait anymore Chat Icon
HOWEVER, I wish we waited, because it totally wasn't the same down there, I was dramatized thinking "OH dear lord, I am broken...." Chat Icon
Happy to report all is back to normal now, if not better Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Personal Question: did anyone not wait the full 6 weeks post partum?

I don't know how anyone was able to do it before 6 weeks with a vag birth. I tried at the six weeks and it was so painful.
