Pipes frozen?
I just tried to turn on the kitchen sink and there's no running water.
The bathroom sink/tub is working fine.
FWIW, our kitchen was an add on to the original home and I don't think it was ever properly insulated because it's always very chilly in there.
(We actually plan to upgrade).
DH is asleep right now so I don't want to wake him up yet.
I googled quickly for solutions and I'm thinking to just call a plumber!

Pipes frozen?
Depends how frozen they are You can try a hair dryer on them.

Re: Pipes frozen?
You can use your hair dryer to thaw them out...we had to do that last night when we got in from work. It took about 20-30 minutes for the water to start running. Keep the faucet open so that water and steam can push through (you don't want to burst a pipe)
During the day, leave a small trickle of water running and the pipes shouldn't freeze. I wish I knew that yesterday morning before I left for work.

Re: Pipes frozen?
This happened to us last night. It took 2 hours but a hair dryer finally thawed the pipe. Leave the faucet on while you are thawing it. I plan on leaving it on a trickle today while I'm at work. Also, I read to keep cabinet doors open so some heat can get in.

Leave cabinet doors open so the heat can get in there and you can use a hair dryer or small space heater to try and thaw it.
Good luck!
