Do you push the air out before feeding DC?

If you do, how can you tell how much they drank to burp? Also, please tell me which one you use avent or playtex! THANKS!!!!!

I do and I just do it by eye. When I think he's about half way through I'll burp him or if he stops sucking/squirming I'll burp him.

I don't push the air out, and if you twist open the top a little after dc drinks the bag will open up and the formula will go down so you can tell how much dc has drank.

I always pushed the air out. They make holders with a slide on the bottom that makes it easier to push out.

That's what I was doing but as the bag gets emptier it is harder to push the air out. You don't have gas problems since you don't push the air out? Which do you use- playtex or avent? Playtex says you don't have to push but avent says you do.

I did in the beginning. After what seemed like an ounce, I would pull her off and unscrew the cap a little to let the air in (to get an accurate reading of # of oz).

I use playtex... I push the air out and I usually either play it by eye or burp her every 5-10 minutes depending on how fast she is eating.
