Please help a jew make christmas dinner
I am planning on making Christmas dinner for 9-10 people. I need suggestions on a menu. I am at a loss. TIA!

Stuffed artichokes
candied yams
garlic mashed potatoes (or regular)
stuffed mushrooms

I make a big pot of sauce with meatballs and sausage and then make a pan of baked ravioli.

Baked Ziti!
I posted a recipe on here not too long ago - under Mama Rella's Baked Ziti - straight from Italy! You can do a search for it if you want to make that. It is super easy and super yummy!

my family christmas dinner has usually been very traditional - turkey, stuffing, roasted potatoes and parsnips/turnips/carrots, gravy, and with christmas pudding for dessert (its English)

This jew is also making Christmas dinner. My DH is catholic. This is what I'm making. It is a bit of a mix.
Stuffed Shells
Shrimp Parmagiana
Filet Mignon
Mashed Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Spiral Ham
Creamed Spinach

well, the most traditional dinner is goose  ..... but is often substituted with turkey. It's not terribly different than thanksgiving dinner.... just with more freedom... you don't need the pumpkin pie... you can have a yule log (chocolate roll cake with 'bark' icing and little merange 'mushrooms')
