Please help me plan my housewarming party menu!
DH and I decided to have a BIG open house for our housewarming party. I'm trying to figure out exactly what to do for food. I'm sure people will be here throughout the day, and I want to have constant food, but would also prefer not to have the oven constantly on. I also want to put things out that can stay out for awhile.
It would be perfect to BBQ, but we're kosher, and kosher meat is $$$$, so it would be hard to feed the amount of people that we have.
Heroes are another thought...I can fridge some and put them out as needed. (still expensive b/c of the kosher meat)
Any brilliant ideas for me? Thanks!

How about Bagels and spreads, quiches etc? Or Kosher cold cut platter, with rye bread and salads? ( I use Nassau Kosher in East Meadow- they have a kosher catering counter) , you can also put out sweet and sour meatballs, mini knishes etc. HTH

Thanks! You're always so helpful! A cold cut platter might be perfect.
