Re: Please recommend your top loader washing machine
we just bought and were between the Maytag Bravos and the LG 5101 model ( I think its called the Wave series). We were up in the air, chose LG cause it was a little less $$ and had a lower repair history.

Re: Please recommend your top loader washing machine
I have the LG Wave Force top loader. I love it. It's considered "high efficiency" so fits a ton of clothes and uses less water than traditional washers. It gets my clothes very very clean... cleanest out of any washer I've ever used.

Re: Please recommend your top loader washing machine
Speed Queen. I got tired of having other brands wear out after 2 1/2 to 3 years, besides having to be repaired along the way, flooding my basement and in one case getting grease all over my laundry.
I have two washer hookups as I used to do so much laundry when my kids were younger that I needed two washers. I had gone through a number of GE's, Maytags and Whirlpools until I'd had it. I did a lot of research on line and found Speed Queens had the best track records and the longest warranty - three years vs two years for the others. They are made by a company which makes commercial washers so they are made very well.
It has hand wash and delicate cycles as well as a double rinse cycle which is important to me. It still works just like new and has never needed a repair. I love it. Next to it sits a Maytag which gave up after 2 1/2 years - bearings gave out - and which I will replace with another Speed Queen when I can afford it.
