Blehhhhhh...My birthday is this weekend and we have plans to go to the city for 3rd row seats at Rock of Ages!!!!!
We had to cancel my city Birthday trip last year because...you guessed it...we had that huge (24 inches) snow storm on 12/19...bleh...I hate my birthday...I hate my birthday...i hate my birthday.....

did you ever see my pics from my birthday snowstorm in the city? That was the day they shut down times square bc we got 2 ft of snow. 
We had show tickets too and we were so worried we wouldn't make it, or they'd cancel the show, etc. We sat on LIRR for 4 hrs, but we made it and had the BEST TIME EVER- how often do you get to have a snowball fight in a deserted times square?!?

the thing is...the inlaws will not babysit littl Prince if a snow storm is coming bc if he were to get stuck there with them....

i just checked weather.com for my area (central nj). it says "few snow showers". that will give the kids something to play in, while i get things done inside the house! i'm ok with that!
says the same for christmas day

I cant help but laugh to think of the definition of "significant" snowfall in different areas of the country. I'm from Buffalo, their definition of "significant" would be like 4+ ft. Here, it's more than 6 inches.  No matter what, I'm all for a nice snowfall!
My DH is from Buffalo, and his family is still there. He laughs at our snow
Ill be laughing with him!

honestly i think the weathermen dont know if they are coming or going. half the time when they predict "alot" of snow we get barely a dusting. but the snowfalls that they suggest to be minmal or dont even let us know about turn out to be doozeis! I always say I should have been a weatherman, its the only job you can be completely wrong at and will still have a secure job!
