Post Partum Epidural question
I am 3 weeks post pardum and have a question regarding the epidural healing process. When I received the epidural and the anestesiologist was feeding the catheter in, I felt what he told me was a funny bone sensation- basically from the point of the catheter all the way down my left side to my toes, it felt like a strong hot/cold nervy sensation. He said some people get this.
Now any time I apply pressure at all along that same line- from the site where the catheter was fed down to my left butt cheek- even if it is to scratch an itch, I get a very uncomfortable, almost a little painful pins and needles-burning sensation in the area I am touching.
I am not sure at 3 weeks if this would be considered still healing or perhaps something I need to deal with- all I know is the sensation bugs me out and I don't even like touching that area.
Was just curious to see what other people's experiences have been.

Re: Post Partum Epidural question
When I got my epidural, the anesthesiologist had A LOT of trouble getting it in since I have scoliosis. I think he managed to get it on the 4th try. My back has been killing me since then. It actually wasn't bad when I was pregnant...lol. My main pain is in my lower back and it shoots down my tailbone. When I was complaining to my mom she tried to remind me that I only had 3 weeks ago, and it takes 9 months to get your body to a certain place to have the baby, you can't expect that when everything starts shifting back that it's not going to hurt. I guess she has a point.

Re: Post Partum Epidural question
It took me about 8 weeks for my back to finally feel better and to stop getting the sensations from the epidural.
