Potty Training Advice needed!
I am wondering if anyone can help me with this - we started potty training a week and a half ago. My so has barely had any accidents, however he has yet to tell me that he has to go to the bathroom. i make him pee every few hours. I have even waited 4+ hours hoping he would have an accident so he would understand he needs to ask, but he doesn't.
Poop is another problem. Usually I can tell before he has to poop, or if it gets close he has started to pull down his pants and I rushed him to the potty. However, twice now he has waited until I left the room and then pooped in his pants. I started a reward chart where he will get a big prize after he starts telling me he has to go, but I am not that confident that it will work. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so, how did you handle it?
FYI - he is 3y2m.

Re: Potty Training Advice needed!
I can just tell from my expereince. I start after my sons turn 3. I feel boys are slower than girls in this area. Anyway, We started mid-january and its March 4. I still have to ask him and half the time he tells me now. WE where regular underwear and i bring a change clothes with me everywhere.
HE is def. slower than my first son. BUt every kid is different.
You just have to be very consistent, THat is the key. Dont give up. Keep on asking him like you are doing. Giving stickers or whatere works, I did m&ms. And one day he will just tell you. Its just very frustarting along the way. GOOD LUCK

Re: Potty Training Advice needed!
I started potty training Adriano at 21 months. The first month I put him on the potty before he went in the bath to get familiar and one day he just peed in it and I made a big fuss. From that day on he went pee every night before going in the bath. Month #2 I put him on twice a day, once in the morning and once every night. One morning he pooped in the potty and of course I made a big deal. Month #3 I put him on the potty 3 times a day. If he goes he goes and he was praised. After he turned 2 I put him on every 2 hours. If he goes he gets a "treat" (1 fruit snack) I say 99% of the time he goes. The issue with him if that he won't say he has to go but if I put him on the potty he does. He's nowhere near trained, but I think by summer he will hopefully be once he gets more verbal. I think consistency is the key.

Re: Potty Training Advice needed!
We are still potty training. Started early December, right before he was 2.5.
He has no pee accidents at all but NEVER tells me when he has to go. I just put him on the potty every 3-4 hours and he pees.
Poop, in the beginning he'd try to go on the potty. Now he just waits until either nap time (pullup) or in the morning (diaper).
I figure it will just take some time.
