Anyone on 40 mg prior and during pregnancy. Side effects? How was it?

Prednisone
I was on 10 mg a day (5mg twice a day)... At first I was hungry for about a week or so then it leveled off. The only problem I have encountered is the massive headache I have when I stopped taking it cold turkey. It has been 2 wks and my head hurts all day even when I take Aleve...

Re: Prednisone
I was on prednisone for years but not during a pregnancy.
It makes you hungry, very hungry and its hard to satisfy the cravings. wt gain, your blood surger can jump. For me it caused drug induced diabetes, BUT I was on it long term. prednisone is a great drug for inflammation.

Re: Prednisone
I'm on 10mg twice a day. It did make me more hungry. At first I was very thirsty too but that has gone away.

Prednisone
I read the post earlier and didn't feel a thing but hungry but today I feel like crap so I'm not sure if it's all the meds lipids prednisone. I'm only in 10mg daily and my bones are hurting I'm not sure how I'm gonna make it to zumba tomorrow with this pain. Yuck!!!

Prednisone
I was on it (10 mg) prior to pregnancy (about 2 weeks before transfer) and just stopped it at 11 weeks. I started weaning off it at 9 weeks. I didn't have any major side effects. GL

Re: Prednisone
I was. Good news is that it brought my immune panel results way down so it did what we wanted (I am now 18 wks pg). I hated that medicine though, my face blew up (they call it moon face) from being on 40mg (and I was previously on doses from 10-20mg before) and after weening off of it I still have joint pain a month later. But I would do it again in a second because it worked. Good luck!

They had me on 40mg for 2 weeks, but I was on 10-20mg from November through March. It then took me a month to wean off the 40mg (once I was 14 weeks I was completely off prednisone).
