Preggo crashing with a glider question...
I want to buy a good glider and ottoman, but not spend an arm and a leg. I plan on nursing though so I need something really comfortable and with a stationary option ottoman. Any recommendations??? TIA

I have a Storkcraft from Walmart. It's great and was under $200.

Re: Preggo crashing with a glider question...
i have a best chair and used a BBB coupon to bring down the price. i LOVE that chair! I have a small nursing stool b/c I couldn't fit the upholstered ottoman in the room. I love that I can use that chair in our basement family room/playroom when i'm doing using it in the kids' rooms. it looks like regular furniture and is the most comfortable thing in the house.

I have the Shermag one w/the ottoman, a little less than $300 and then I had a 20% coupon
It wasn't an arm and a leg, it is comfy, it looks nice and I'm still happy w/it

Re: Preggo crashing with a glider question...
I have a Dutalier with a nursing ottoman. I also have a Shermag with a regular ottoman. They are both good chairs, obviously the Dutalier was much $$$. If you plan on nursing for a while I would make sure you have a chair that isn't too narrow. DS is 9 months now and we are still nursing, the Shermag is too narrow to fit his body across and he is very cramped. We have the Dutalier Grand Modern chair which is VERY wide and I prefer to nurse DS in that one now.
ETA: the Dutalier is also Multi-positional which is great when nursing and you want to recline!

Re: Preggo crashing with a glider question...
I tried out a lot of the cheaper gliders in the stores and most of them were not very comfortable for me. I knew I would wind up spending a lot of time in it since I am BFing so I wound up paying a little more and getting a Dutalier from BBB. They took the 20% off coupon so it wasn't too bad. You should go to the store and sit in some of the chairs.

Re: Preggo crashing with a glider question...
I bought a nice one from Behr's. It was $$$, but we've gotten so much use out of it and I think it's worth it.

Re: Preggo crashing with a glider question...
i have the best chair from BBB and i love it and i used the coupon too - it is so comfy - i have slept there a lot by accident
i would recommend going to the store and seeing which chair is the most comfortable for you - i was going to get a different chair and the arms were too high and would be uncomfortable to nurse in

Dutalier is pricey, but it was by far the most comfortable brand that we looked at. I had no problems nursing an older infant in it.
