preparing pastina in chicken broth

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but when you prepare pastina with chicken broth for a little flavor- do you cook the pastina as usual in water then add a little chicken broth in the bowl, or do you boil it in the broth??

I boil it in the broth.

ETA If doing it this way try to use a low sodium broth

I always cooked first then added broth, but I am sure you can do it either way. I just didn't want so much broth.

I use the broth in place of the water - so I boil it in the chicken stock/broth. It gives it more flavor than if you just add broth after cooking IMO.

this is how I do it.. I also add a little rice to it (and veggies when they were able to handle it) too.. yum!

i boil in water first just to get some starch out. then i add the chicken broth.

I boil the pastina in low sodium chicken broth. When it's ready, I add a little pat of butter and sprinkle some parmesan on top.
