Last year for Halloween my DS came home with all these goodie bags, so I felt like an idiot bc I didn't make any. So now I do for every holiday. I thought it was overkill, but my DH told me I was being a fart and the kids like it. So I do them now!
Same here. I don't think anyone is trying to outdo anyone. I know personally I don't judge the ones that don't give. I could care less either way. My DD gets excited coming home with stuff so we give something little.
This was me as well.. shes in her 3rd and final year of Pre K now and so far this year Ive sent goodie bags for every holiday. Usually im the one trying to throw something together at the last minute lol
Same here. Landon is going to give out small gifts under $3 each to the kids in his class. He is in a 2-yr-old program.
The teacher asked us to send in treats to give out on Halloween and I sent in little bags of pretzels & 1 sticker for each kid. I was shocked when Landon came home with all kinds of things - flashlight, halloween themed cup, coloring book. crayons, foam frame and stickers, candy, tattoos, full sheets of stickers, & much more. I felt so bad so yes I am doing a little something for the upcoming holidays.

Oh God I didnt even think of this...I already have 10 teachers/aides /bus drivers to buy for....
I know Noah LOVES it when a goody bag is sent home for a holiday or a party from one of the kids...so I will probably find out what the teachers want/allow and do something small like that.

Gifts - no. Goody bags, sometimes. I did it for Halloween. Got a small little bag and put 2 pieces of candy and a glow in the dark spider ring in each. Between birthdays and holidays, my dd has a million and one pencils, erasers, and stickers so I try not to do that too often. I am not doing anything for christmas this year.

I will usually order the foam ornaments that you can put together quickly(and they are cheap) from oriental trading co. I put them together and write each child's name on it with a marker, so it is personalized, and send them in. My son loves bringing treats home, even if it's just a lollipop or a sticker.

last year there were a few moms that gave gifts to all the kids for every holiday- Christmas, V-Day & Easter- it was a little crazy!!!!
This year i'm going to make fun reindeer cupcakes I saw in Family Fun magazine for her class- that's our contribution :)

Re: Preschool/Nursery School - Do you get gifts for the kids in the class at Christmas?
My son's kindergarten class is doing a book swap. We have been asked to wrap one gently used book and send it to school. The kids will then pick them "grab bag" style. The school does not allow any food for celebrations (holidays or birthdays) and I think this is a great solution. I am told the kids really get excited to see what book they pick.
