Pro-choice people- does this infuriate you too ?? I have to vent.

I was driving the other day and saw a car with a bumper sticker that says "ABORTION = MURDER".

I swear, this really gets my blood boiling! You know, if you feel that way, fine. But KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. I get so pizzed at this.

THen today, I am driving past the Patchogue PLanned Parenthood, and see these old farts with walkers standing outside with their signs that say "ADOPTION, NOT ABORTION", and again "ABORTION IS MURDER". These people have no idea what some of these girls circumstances are, so who are you to judge?? Again, everyone is free to have an opinion, but these to me are nasty ways of expressing it.

i don't have a problem with it because for some people who are pro-life, this is truly how they feel, and they have every right to express those feelings as much as i have every right to express that i think they should keep their beliefs off my body.

the only thing i want is to be able to have the freedom to make my own decisions about my own body. i would never impose my beliefs or opinions on anyone else. if they choose to believe that abortion = murder, that is fine with me.

it doesn't infuriate me. it's their opinion. just like I've seen plenty of bumper stickers that are pro-choice related.

I am pro-choice but I do see how pro-lifers feel the way they do. Once I saw the flicker of a heartbeat on a sonogram with Ed-lie, I said "This is a person - this is a life." But then again, I am a married woman with a home and an income to support anything that comes my way. I am not in a position where the conception of a child couldn't be handled within my means and certainly an abortion would not be "birth control" for careless behavior or an unfortunate surprise.

I totally get that it's their opinion. They have every right to have it. I just get annoyed with how graphic they have to be and you can't even go to the Dr without seeing fetus' on signs while driving in.

It doesn't bother me.

I understand where it's coming from...they truly believe it's murder, along the same lines as a born-again Christian who will repeatedly try to get you to join their church. They think they are saving someone. So while I admire their conviction, I disagree vehemently with their views. To me, pregnancy is a not a guarantee of a baby...it is a potential life.

I don't think these people are necesarily judging others. I think in most instances they are trying to persuade those tempted to have an abortion not to. They really see no difference in murdering a fetus or murdering an innocent person walking on the street...and if people were walking around killing one another on the street, I wouldn't see anything wrong w/advertising the fact that murder is wrong.

I'm more bothered when I see the men outside protesting at planned parenthood. get out of my body. it's my choice, not yours.

I'll tell you what does infuriate me. there is an organization out there that travels around to military funerals to protest the war in Iraq.

Other people's opinions don't bother me. To each his own. They're not going to change my mind, so I don't care. I'd rather have free speech in this country and have to see stuff like that than not be able to express my views.

They signs that make me sick are the ones with really graphic pictures.. those i find unneccessary.

I don't see why that would bother anyone if they are passively showing their beliefs. You can choose not to look.

I have to jump in here as a pro-lifer.

Those posters or bumper stickers do not bother me....just like seeing pro choice signs/stickers don't phase me....people are showing their voice and opinions and I am happy to live in a country where that is possible. I happen to believe it is murder, as many others do so why can't we express that in a peaceful manner? I haven't personally ever done that, yet I have compassion for people that do.

NOW...pictures of an aborted fetus...TOTALLY DISGUSTING. I do not need or want to see that..I don't think it is necessary or right. Nor do I agree with anyone who will kill a doctor or blow up an abortion clinic. NOT the way to make a statement and help a cause.

Just trying to explain why it should not infuriate people....you have to be able to see both sides of the coin even if you do not agree.

ITA with you! It annoys the sh*t outta me!! I know they're entitled to their opinion BUT if i put my opinion about being pro-choice as a bumper sticker on my car I would have to fear my car be mutilated by these crazies!! I personally think they're getting a little carried away!!

I think everyone has a right to their opinion and view and express it. I might be pro-choice--but those who are anti-abortion have a right to put it out there.

The only thing that I feel is crossing a line.....are the times I've been at the beach at Robert Moses or wherever, and those planes that comes by with big advertising banners---have VERY graphic pictures of aborted babies and they drag it across the sky...with the whole "Abortion is Murder!" or whatever. Its absolutely disgusting....and I don't think I should have to explain to my young nieces and nephews why there is a bloodied and mangled fetus on a banner. THOUSANDS of young families are enjoying their day at the beach----why should we have to be subjected to that?
