i don't have a problem with it because for some people who are pro-life, this is truly how they feel, and they have every right to express those feelings as much as i have every right to express that i think they should keep their beliefs off my body.
the only thing i want is to be able to have the freedom to make my own decisions about my own body. i would never impose my beliefs or opinions on anyone else. if they choose to believe that abortion = murder, that is fine with me.
I completely agree.

I'm more bothered when I see the men outside protesting at planned parenthood. get out of my body. it's my choice, not yours.
I agree...its a little upsetting, b/c you never know one's reasoning behind things...one's life situation...I'm sure its a very hard decision (for most women) to determine to terminate a pregnancy.

"keep your laws off of my body"

I am pro-choice. There is Planned Parenthood I pass everyday on my way to work. They have signs with actual pics of Zygotes etc . various weeks gestation. I can't deal with that so early in the a.m.! Some of the pics are pretty graphic
Are you sure these are signs that Planned Parenthood put up? I worked for their national office in NY and never saw anything like that. Doesn't sound like something they would do - sometimes pro-life organizations will put up signs like that near Planned Parenthood offices though.

it doesn't infuriate me. it's their opinion. just like I've seen plenty of bumper stickers that are pro-choice related.
AGREED!

People on the side of the road protesting don't bother me. Everyone has a right to do what they want. I don't like how graphic they get with their posters. I had to drive to work when I was pregnant with my first son and go past those disgusting signs everyday.
I agree...the men shouldn't be holding those signs either...

I am 1000000% pro choice but honestly, they have the right to feel how they feel, it does not change my mind or my opinion at all

no, my grandmother is always on the side of the road with her signs and doing her marches.
on the flip side, she does a ton for teenage preggos and moms. constant fundraisers, a lot of times her own money...she never does the sign thing to judge anyone, she honestly just feels that there is a baby whose life is ending.

Re: Pro-choice people- does this infuriate you too ?? I have to vent.
Some people have said they have a problem with a man holding those signs.
What's wrong with him being concerned about the life of the unborn? He can't carry life, but he can be concerned about what happens to that life.
I have never once thought he was telling me, a woman, what to do with my body. My first thought is that he is trying to protect the life of the unborn.

doesn't infuriate me. It's their opinion... if that's how they feel, I support their right to express it.
I just choose to ignore it...

I think she means exactly what you just said. It's not PP that put the signs up, but protesters.

I will begin by saying that I am pro-life.
And end by saying this: Those abortion stickers get your blood boiling probably just as much as those "Bush 2004" stickers do for me.
While I do believe that abortion is murder, I can also see where you're coming from, because I want to egg the car of anyone I see who dared to elect Bush back into office.

Why should this bother you? Granted, I am pro-life and agree with those types of bumper stickers and the like, but it their opinion and last time I checked, we live in a country where we are free to express our opinions. Yes, they are a bit shocking and graphic, but again, it's just an opinion, nothing that is being rammed down your throat. you don't have to agree.

I see billboards where I live with similar sentiments about abortion- it makes me hope that we are not living here when my daughter learns to read because it's just not something I want to have to explain (or explain why I won't explain it) when she is a little kid.

Ehh, I just drive by and give em the finger. Just kidding. Whatever. I just want to ask them, "Sooo, when these women have the babies they cannot afford or care for, can we come ask you for money and shelter?" That's how I feel. I'd love to know if they have a whole adopted brood of children at home that they care for if they feel so strongly about abortion

That's a bit harsh. you can still believe that abortion is wrong without having to or being able to adopt several children. it's a completely separate issue.

I completely understand that, however, I have an issue with people who devote so much time to standing outside planned parenthood or other places of the like picketing and telling people they are baby killers rather than doing something more proactive. It just seems like they'd rather act high and mighty than try to help the sitution. That's all I was saying. I don't think there's anything wrong with being pro-life! I just think there's something wrong with preaching something, but then not being proactive about it.

i don't think they are acting high and mighty and in fact, I think that standing outside of Planned Parenthood and the like IS being proactive. They are taking a stand against such places that use TAX PAYER money for abortions. I would equate that to someone protesting the war or any other issue in which people may disagree with the government.
and also, and most importantly, there are many many other things pro-lifers do besides stand outside clinics. Yes, that is the msot visible to the public, but there are many of us that donate food, diapers, baby clothes, etc. for mothers in crisis pregnancies. they are organizations such as Birthright, Rachel's Vineyard, Catholic churches that all do outreach to these women and babies as well as run homes for women in crisis. Many people spiritually adopt a baby, have prayer chains, pray the rosary for the mother and baby, etc. Protesting or educating outside a clinic is just ONE way pro-lifers support the movement.

Did you know that less than 10% of Planned Parenthood clients have abortions? Just putting that out there...
