They start out like pinpricks and then turn into jellied blisters.

Re: probably overreacting, but chicken pox question

FYI - my best friend works in an office where 2 adults got the chicken pox from a co worker. Both of these adults had the chicken pox when they were kids and got it full blown AGAIN Chat Icon

So be careful thinking you might not have it since you had a case as a child. Everyone in their office ran to the doctor immediately after finding this out

When I had CP as a teenager it started with about 4 bumps on my face and by the time I got home from school about 4 hours later, I had them all over my body...and by the next morning you could barely see my skin Chat Icon OMG now I am itchy and disgusted!

Re: probably overreacting, but chicken pox question

My friends husband just found out he has the shingles. Isn't that an adult version of the chicken pox? He had a mild case of the chicken pox when he was like 10 months old. Now he's 33 with the shingles...

I say go to the dr. regardless. If it's a pimple maybe he can give you aome ointment anyway.. Chat Icon

Good luck!

Re: probably overreacting, but chicken pox question

It's not chicken pox, but it is some sort of allergic reaction that basically looks exactly like chicken pox... Only since they didn't burst / crust (ew!) today, they can't be chicken pox.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm allergic to. I have not changed any of my face soaps or makeup or anything. I did pull out a bottle of different shampoo I had just b/c we ran out of our regular stuff. I have a feeling I might be allergic to that. Doc said to go back to my regular shampoo and see if that helps.

I'll change out the pillow cases too since I've been sleeping on them for a couple days now and possibly got whatever it bothering me on them, too.

Thanks to all for your help and concern. I now officially feel NUTS for being convinced I had chicken pox! Chat Icon
