provera (update)

Has anyone been put on provera to start theri period. I was finally puton it yesterday? How long did it take to get it? Did you go back to a normal cycle after that? If you get your period while you are taking it did you stop taking it? After you get it and get AF did you ovulate 2 weeks later?

Finished my provera today. Keep you fingers crossed for AF to come soon.

We are provera buddies!! I just started it on Wednesday. How long are you taking it for? Mine is 10mg for 7 days. (some drs do it different .. 5 days.. 10 days.. )

Once you finish you get your period about 3-7 days later. I was on it a while ago when I first started with my RE. I got my period 3 days after I finished- but it's different for everyone.

As far as ovulating.. well I don't ovulate on my own. After I finished provera, I started a round of drugs with my RE to make me develop follicles and ovulate for an IUI.

ETA: Don't stop taking it! Take the full dose your dr prescribed! You will get your period after you finish!

I am very glad to have a provera buddy. I started Thursday. I was told to take it for 5 days. I usually ovulate on my own. I got worried because he said maybe I did not ovulate after the d & c, I am not sure what that means now if he is jump starting my AF. So I am hoping this puts me back on track. I have always been very regular. I will use opks to make sure we dont waste time. It worked the first time so I am hoping it works again. Thanks for responding. I will let you know when I get it, you can do the same.
