PSA: new scam on facebook
i just experienced this, this morning. i got an IM through facebook from one of the people on my friends list. Said they were in the UK and were robbed at gunpoint. needed money to get home. Needless to say the person knew the husbands name (its on facebook) but i looked at their profiles and there was no mention of being away right now, so i checked with the husband. he said, no way, they were home. but the person was trying to get me to wire them money via western union. (needless to say i was suspicious when i am getting im's from my cousin's wife and i've never even met her in person.... but it was weird) and it means they got hold of her facebook account in order to send IM messages from.
be careful on facebook. its too easy for people to get your information.

They got her email password also (same password as FB).

that happened to my account, thankfully most of my friends were smart enough to call me or someone close to me to find out what was going on

Happened to my friend too, a while ago. Luckliy her friend called her and warned her that she had a hacker.
