i just find it so ironic that on the day we are changed from Gerber Good Start to Alimentum, this recall happens  
PS - he is doing GREAT on the Alimentum! We are 4 bottles in and NO POOP, no spit up! Its been months since he hasnt spit up after a bottle  
Glad to hear he is doing great with the Alimentum. It worked wonders for Lara she was like a new baby

FYI per the person I spoke to at Similac yesterday you should be able to return for CASH without a receipt. So far BBB insisted on giving me store credit (which I didnt fight because I was buying something else anyway) but BJs tried to pull that too and I called Similac from the desk (while I was on hold they relented and gave me cash).

I would love to know if I could get cash from BJ's. I did go on the similac site and fill out my info for them to send me a fedex box and label to return them. But what would I get from them?

i jst went to bru and had such a hard time!!!!! they said it wasnt scanning and asked me if it was drom there; asked me to scan myt rewards card, my credit cards that were used to purchase' etc. i was there so long and finally they have me 37.00 fpr the big plastic container and the box of singles, which isnt what i paid. i am so annoyed...

ridiculous bc i said doesnt it go back to similac anyway and u get reimbursed? what difference does it make where i got it ? its recalled bc bugs r in it. why m i standing here for a half hr to return 2 cans???

EXACTLY...u know the stores will get their money before we do...pleaseee it's just a shame they make us go through this and then we still need to find an alternative formula to give our babies. Which is another annoyance all together.

I've been getting an thousand phone calls at work today about recall. Here is brand equivalents to help you out. (although each companies product is different, these are closest matches)
Enfamil Newborn
Similac = Enfamil Premium
Isomil = Prosobee
Allimentum = nutramigen (rtf), powder version has a probiotic in it lgg
Similac sensative (really no equivalent, this is a lactose free product) but can use
Gentlease = reduced lactose and partially hydrolyzed proteins
RS = AR (although RS is lactose free also)

similac now combined similac sensitive and similac isomil though. so it is noe similac sensitive isomil. thats what i buy. so i wouldnt even know what to get in substitution.
