Pumping moms - engorgement question
I experienced horrible engorgement in my left breast this past weekend. I worked through it - massaging and pumping frequently- and the painful, hard spot went away. Ever since then, however, I pump significantly less out of my left breast. Is this normal? Will the left breast eventually begin producing more? I went from 60ml on that side, to only like 30-35ml (very depressing ).
Thanks!!!

It will catch up as long as you keep pumping/nursing. Did you try warm washclothes too?

Keep pumping and it will increase again. I would continue to massage and do warm compresses.
I also did something called power pumping to increase my supply, it helped me a small bit, but I was working with not much to begin with.

I will try that! I focused a warm shower on it, but only 1-2x a day.
Thanks ladies!! It's just so frustrating - my left breast was always the "big" producer .
